Pakistanis have become mad , Face book or internet are not a reliable source to take such action . Children were burnt alive , Very sad , Ahmedis are not Muslims but they are Pakistanis and have equal rights like other Pakistanis .

well i have been writing for a very long time that Pakistan's no 1 problem has been overzealous religious exhibitionism and ever-growing radicalism which has been on display since zia days. This is a cancer which has eroded the very basic fabric of our society.

one more thing...while every society has religious bigots but the difference is that in our society such religious bigots are increasingly promoted, admired and cheered on the name of religious passion and ghariat. That makes us unique.
I was in Pakistan when mumtaz qadri incidence happened and i was shocked the way he was admired in every corner of our society including otherwise sane educated people. I discussed that incidence with my driver , cook, educated uncles, journalists, lawyers, bureaucrats, professors and majority had a sympathetic attitude towards qadri (there were some sane people but very very few).....my parents had to stop me from discussing this issue as they were scared for my life.
and I knew with deep sadness that my country's future is severely compromised when i saw that murderer Qadri being heavily garlanded by a huge group of educated lawyers when he was brought to the court.......................i mean among all people, freakin lawyers were doing that who are supposed to follow the law...asthagfarullah...in which society will you expect such behavior? I really felt suffocated.
only recently, i commented on the hatred that we have cultivated against "hanood wa yahood"......those who are born and raised in Pakistan know what i mean...let me add qadyanis to this list as well. the amount of nafrat our masses have for qadyanis is just toxic....poor qadyanis simply hide their identities.
obviously there is something terribly wrong within our societal behavior as well as constitutional framework (aka blasphemy laws for example ) that first needs to be openly admitted and then aimed to be corrected.

I was working in FSF and I saw and worked in 70s riot against Ahmedis at many places .
And I count this my best work in my life when I succeeded to save many dozen lives of Ahmedis in Boray Wala , They were in house of one brave Muslim , When we reached there the wooden gate and windows were burning , Police and fire brigade were little away because the mob of hundreds were not allowing them to come forward , I got permission from the magistrate to fire but I asked my some 20 young man to do this job without firing , they said OK and used their rifles as batons , I just fired few bullets in air with my pistol and they went into crowed and reached to the gate with in 2-3 minutes and than turned back to the mob beating them by rifles as danda and disbursed the mob , saved the home and all lives . I still remember that all and salute to my brave jawans .

the Qadri incident was truly appalling. Pakistanis have lost their moral compass. I have found the same attitude among Pakistanis here in the US. Suffice it to say, I feel like kissing my American passport every time I'm reminded off how corrupt and twisted the Pakistani mind has become.
I find it very difficult to remain faithful in such an environment. Personally I find myself leaning toward agnosticism, as I simply can't come to associate with the popular image of Muslims that we have today... Where is the Muslim Dalai Lama, where is the Muslim Gandhi, or the Muslim Desmond Tutu, Nelson Mandela?

Its complete nonsense. But this is a country ruled by the far right extreme. The right, no matter where they are, tend to be illogical and guided less by reason then by emotion. There is research that shows conservatives are of lower IQ, and tend to favor a simplistic world view.
Myself, I have always found it absurd that God should leave it to us to defend him. Why would he need such insignificant beings to defend the name of a being who is omnipotent in every way... Why should he even care that someone insults him? Is God that sensitive!?!?!
The whole issue over the Ahmadis is their definition of what a "seal of the prophets" means. Now logically it shouldn't matter because Islam is about justice, compassion, and humanity, and not about title, and yet every value in Islam goes out the window when the tile of the Prophet comes into question... Why a title should be more important then the humanistic values espoused by the faith is beyond me.

Actually this is our local issue , They are mostly from Pakistan and most of them are Punjabis .
This issue once already became big in 50s , even martial law was imposed in three cities , Modoodi and some other were awarded death sentence .

Can you dig up any post of me or any other religious poster advocating death due to difference of opinion be it ahmedi/jew/shia etc etc. have been posting here for more then 10 years now from the same nick. On the contrary you can find multiple posts of our respected anti mullah posters wishing/calling death to their opponents on the same forum.
This is a sad incident and even if"it is not even confirmed yet" some ahmedi did this , this does not allow any one to harm any one, that is not the religion we advocate for.
I feel ashamed that some one did this and stand with you on this.
