moin scored 162 runs in quaid-e-azam trophy, but its too late to save his career

Aha Moin well if Kammi does well in Kangrooland then Moin = history/
i,ll say kami is much better keeper than moin and rashid. i have seen moin and rashid involving too much in captains decisions when they r not. i thot we needed keeper who listens to captain and good thing about kamran is he is really good batsman i have seen him playing against south africa in south africa he opened for pakistan he looked really aggressive and in a time we need wicket he can hndle that as well. so stop crying for moin and rashid we got better
If Akmal bats the way I think he will, he will be of the team by the end of this series,, no worries for Moin fans
i cant wait for the boxing day match.. my two cents to this thread :D

pakistan should start paying attention to hamayun farhat as a back up wickie to kami akmal, i haven't seen him play for pak since the sharjah series a while back.
glad to know somebody knows humayun farhat ![]()
i mentioned it long before, but most people dont like the idea ![]()
Yasir hameed is sucking up big time.yaar what's wrong with him again he got out for 5against chairmanXI 5runs of 16balls.i think he should be dropped for 1st test.butt made 27off29balls.and inzi was out on 17off20balls.while farhat was playing on 56along with yoyo.pakistan is 120/3 in 25overs
i m agree with u on that he is not performing but he averages over 43 in tests and over 47 when playing away.... how can u drop a player like that he just need to get in rythm and dropping him will only make him worst.
for your kind 2 cents, Allah swt aap ko aur de aameeen ![]()

I agree with him because pakistan has a bad habit of dropping after a couple of bad performances. everybody needs to be given a run

Why do people pay attention to (and quote here) statements like this , I will never know.
When was the last time you heard a captain say before a series - "I am not optimistic about our chances in this series. I think we will be routed".
I also don't know why journalists ask questions to players which have only one obvious answer.

The first time Ramiz Raja was made captain, he was set to take the team to Srilanka. He was asked the same question and his answer was "we are not going to win the match, we are going to win hearts and make friends". Guess what? Srilanka won the series for the first time against Pak. Ramiz was then sacked (for being too friendly). Talk about optimism.
**Australia unchanged for Pakistan **](BBC SPORT | Cricket | Australia unchanged for Pakistan)
Australia have named an unchanged squad for the first Test against Pakistan in Perth next Friday.
Matthew Hayden missed the third one-day international against New Zealand with a hamstring strain but selectors decided not to name a standby player.
Paceman Brett Lee is the 12th man but could be brought into the first team for next week’s contest.
Lee has been 12th man in the last three Tests but has impressed in the New Zealand one-day series.
Australia will enter the Pakistan game full of confidence after beating New Zealand 2-0 in their recent Test series.
Australia: Ricky Ponting (captain), Adam Gilchrist, Justin Langer, Matthew Hayden, Damien Martyn, Darren Lehmann, Michael Clarke, Shane Warne, Jason Gillespie, Michael Kasprowicz, Glenn McGrath, Brett Lee.
i think brett lee will start aginst pak for the 1st test. ricky ponting has suggested he will and has been pleased with his form as of late!!! then who does he drop surely not kaspo' he's bowled well since coming back into the side.
I dont think there is any place for brett lee in the Australian test eleven right now. The reason is the excellent form of Kasper in test matches off late. The only thing that may help Lee in getting selected is the fast pitch at Perth.

Well, you have to read into the sentences.
When a captain says "We are here to play positive cricket", it really means "Come on guys, do you seriously expect us to win? Get real!".
When a coach claims "The pressure will be on the other team", what he is actually saying is "We don't have a rat's chance of winning anyway, so we might as well take it easy, and get some shopping done too".
See, its all pretty easy to read, once you get the hang of it.
Pakistan has very glim chance to stand aganist the Aus. Lets keep the finger cross
Pakistan won’t last three days at Perth: Kim Hughes
By our correspondent
KARACHI: Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq had admitted that if his young team manages to win even one Test match against Australia in the coming series it would be a big achievement.
In an interview to a leading Australian newspaper he said that hopefully Pakistan would be a very good team in two years time. "It?s difficult to build a new team but these boys are really talented, they?ve worked hard in the nets and they?ve learned a lot of things and hopefully in one or two years I think it will be a good team.
"But Australia is the number one team in the world; in both batting and bowling they are very strong. “If we win a game here I think it will be a big achievement for Pakistan,” he said.
Asked if he expected anyone to give Australia a few surprises he stated: “Maybe our two new fast bowlers, Mohammad Khalil and Mohammad Asif. Maybe they will give Australia some surprise,” Asked whether he was enjoying his role as Pakistan?s captain, he said: "When you are winning, I enjoy it.
But it?s difficult because we have so many youngsters."
“The first four or five months were really difficult for me, but now we?re used to our positions and captain?s requirements and the boys are really confident with me,” he stated.
Meanwhile former Australian captain Kim Hughes said there was no need to play a pace quartet against Pakistan, as the world champions would have the first Test won inside three days with the incumbent bowling attack of Glenn McGrath, Jason Gillespie, Michael Kasprowicz and leg-spinner Shane Warne.
Pakistan meet Australia in the first Test at the WACA ground from December 16. Hughes, who captained the Australian Test team for the first time against Pakistan in Perth in 1978-79, said fast bowler Brett Lee (named in the test 12 on Friday) had no chance of playing in Perth.
"Anybody that understands the WACA understands that we get a strong sea breeze here ? you can?t attack from both ends, you?ve got to push into the strong sea breeze. It?s different at the Gabba, it?s different everywhere else.
Hughes was on hand to see Western Australia knock over Pakistan?s top order in less than a session on the first day of the tour game on Thursday and having witnessed the visiting batsmen continually play away from their bodies on the bouncy WACA wicket, he saw little chance of Pakistan going the distance.
“I don?t think the Test will last more than three days,” he said.
"I think the Pakistan bowlers will worry our batsmen - there?s no doubt they will do all right ? but the batting … I looked at yesterday and their wicketkeeper (Kamran Akmal, who made a duck against WA) looked ordinary with the bat.
“Their tail almost starts at seven or eight and it just looks like slips catching practise.”
Hughes also doubted if Shoaib Akhtar was fit enough to carry the Pakistani bowling this summer.
“The bowling strength is there providing Shoaib stays fit and that?s a big question mark because he doesn?t look as fit as what I think he should be to play three Tests inside 22 days … and they look very, very brittle in their batting. Unbelievably brittle.”
Sadly this article says it all…and I agree with all the points. I think if Pakistan make it to the 4th day…thats a big achivement for them. I think history is going to repeat itself and the same thing will happen what happened in Sharjah…52 and 56 all out, if not worse.
