Re: Pakistan's Think Tanks
In all the successful nations - there seems to be a good think tank that is working behind the scenes. They make the bigger framework (and hence the overall policy) of the government.
I always pondered what/who/where is Pakistan's think tank is located? They maybe issues with our think tank - but I am sure there must be some members out there? [Military is probably part of it - but thats closed door right?]
Today is the first time I came across where Zaid Hamid (from BrassTalks) is mentioned as Security Think Tank / Analyst in Pakistan.
Anyone has any more info on groups that are looking make Pakistan for next 10+ years?
Mods: Can you please fix title to "Pakistan*'s* Think Tank"

Pakistan army is probably the only organization which can be called think tanks of Pakistan.
Unfortunately, political parties do not play any roles in it and their vision and planning is evident when they are in power. All they do is plan their own future.
There are some intellectuals who give their opinions on important policy matters but it is the army that decides.
As for people like Zahid Hamid, they do influence people's thought process but they have zero influence in any decisions made by the army.
yes Pakistan army - a think tank full of FA-fail jarnails and kaalay angrez. thank God for He gave us lowly, bloody civilians these superior overlords from Kakool.
and I never thought I'd hear the words Zaid Hamid and think tank together. if this desi Glen Beck... actually I take that back.. Glen Beck wishes he was as retarded as Zaid Hamid... if Zaid Hamid is supposed to influence people's thought process, then we are all slowly but surely on our way to a huge insane asylum.
Institute of Strategic Studies of Begum Shireen Mazari. Tho' she is a tank by herself ;)
