I think this is a better format than the one in 2003 as you are literally playing against all the top nations. It ensures that the 4 most consistent teams advance into the knock-out stages (semifinals and final)

Is this schedule based if Pakistan wins against West Indies & ZImbabwe in the first round. what if Pakistan loses to West Indies or ZImbabwe in the 1st round but still qualifies for 2nd round, would the schedule be the same?

Pakistan is D1 at the start of the tournament. It will stay D1 as long as it qualifies for Super 8 stage. Losing to WI or Zim doesn't change its D1 position as long as it qualifies for the next round. Likewise West Indies can win all three matches including a win against Pak but it will still remain D2. This is official info from the organizers. It was done so people can schedule their travel plans.
