I dont believe there is any way out now other than having Whatmore. He has already resigned from Kol Katta's job. I m sure he has got sureties from PCB

technical flaws of openers and younger players can definitely be addressed with whatmore, plus with misbah's discipline whatmore should be able to promote a better ethis and provide new skills to a fighting side.

Another area of concern will be scoring rate when they eventually tour downunder. They can't expect to win with blocking strategy in ozeeland. Azhar and maisbah will need to switch gears there. A good coach such as whatmore may help in that area of mindset and approach as well, since he is from Australia.

Definately we need Whatmore. Mohsin has very little, if anything to do with the success the team has been having. Most of the credit goes to Misbah and the players.
Mohsin should be allowed to resume his role as chief selector, as we need someone to displace father-in-law from that post.
Whatmore should be able to bring in even more discipline and hard work to the team, and he does not tolerate fools - so he will ensure the usual in-fighting, back-stabbing etc does not creep back into this team.
Beating England at UAE is good - but no Pakistani coach can help make this team win like this in Australia, South Africa or even England.
Whatmore has a far better chance however, of helping us make the next major climb up the ladder.
