I stand up for the military, even though I am a civilian. I have had the honor of studying with Army Cadets (Gentlemen cadets) who started their training at E&ME corps, and I know how much they train, and how much love they have for their country. And if I find someone doubting their patriotism and spirits, I have a problem with them. Isnt it sad, these army cadets are ready to give away their lives for their country and some freaks living outside of Pakistan can criticize their jazba? Do you know there was an uncommissioned officer in Kargil who died fighting, and they found out he had been eating 'grass' and continued to fight till the death? He even got a standing ovation from the enemy soldiers.
hskhan, assmuing your right, you are forgetting that the might of the army is not represented by a handful of corrupt generals or brigs. Its the lower ranked jawans and the captains and the majors who represent the Pak Force.

hskhan: How about you live in Pakistan and speak the same way. It's all nice sitting back in US/Canada talking about how military is necessary or other fantastic BS. If you have issues with Pakistan, come out and say it in the open...do NOT descerate the blood of those fought and died to save Pakistan or those who stand guard today.
The Pakistani military is not necessary, what a bizarre comment. There is not a country in the world that needs an army more than Pakistan. We face a nation 10 times our size that would like nothing better than to annhialate us and see all of us dead (just as Gujrati muslims). No where else in the world would such a nation as us still exist. The very fact that Pakistan is still intact is a miracle. The reason we still exist is entirely due to the brave who have died in places like Siachin glacier while we sit in Toronto or London critcizing them.
Exactly. Its true alot of money is spent on the military, but that is crucial to our survival. Had the circumstances been different and we would not have had an agressive neighbour and a disputed terrirtory, we could have spent much less. However, we should be proud of the fact that this money is spent in the most honest and uncorrupt fashion. Even with limited resources our PAF had the honour of training the best pilots in the world, and with a handful of men, people like Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed can can defend the nation.
since day 1 our military has played a very vital role in the survival of ouir country on every front be it militarily, strategically, economically, politically and that is proof that our officers and men are among the world's best traned. our military institutuons are among the world's very best. people who think against the military need to wake up.
