Pakistan's map

It’s been almost 70 years, and we are still teaching our kids a lie. 75 percent probably don’t know the real boundaries of Pakistan, and rest 25% know but don’t want to change this lie. Pakistan must be the only country in the world who is lying to is own people about the shape of its internationally recognized boundaries.

I know that for some stupid reason, Kashmir is still a disputed region, but for God sake, can we stop pretending that it’s part of Pakistan?

Re: Pakistan's map

I remember it being shown as disputed border. Are you talking about Azad kashmir and GB?

Re: Pakistan's map

I am referring to the Indian Kashmir

Re: Pakistan's map

India has the same problem. They do the same thing, more so than Pakistan.

But those who bother about the UN resolution - show the map of Kashmir as differently shaded so it visibly appears as disputed territory but still attached to the map of the original country, i.e country with a claim. This is accordance to the UN agreement.

Re: Pakistan's map

Pakistan's official website shows the wrong map of Pakistan. It's not differently shaded.

Re: Pakistan's map

Ithna garam y ho'ing?

Re: Pakistan's map

No one hoing garam but I guess TLK won't tolerate hinglish/urdunglish. He doesn't know what % of people speak hinglish or urdunglish as mother tongue :p j/k

AP sahab, I could not catch your point

Re: Pakistan's map

No point actually , only added for discussion going on

Re: Pakistan's map

TLK: Brother, what is troubling you?

Pakistani map shows Pakistan, that is ~310,000 sq mile.

What else should they show? ... or you want Pakistan to show Azad Kashmir, Gilgit and Baltistan as part of Pakistan too? ...

But, how can Pakistan show those territory as part of Pakistan when they are not part of Pakistan (as yet)?

To show those territories as part of Pakistan would mean, accepting line of control as international boundary, accepting right of India over Indian occupied Kashmir.

India do that, show line of control as their international boundary, what Pakistan do not accept. India do that, because they would like to see line of control as international boundary, where Pakistan has Azad Kashmir, Gilgit and Baltistan and rest belongs to India.

For Pakistan, whole Kashmir (Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit and Baltistan) as disputed territory and future of these territories can be decided only after plebiscite.

That means, after plebiscite, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit and Balstistan could go to India or Indian occupied Kashmir comes to Pakistan ... and if that would happen, that is in Plebiscite if Indian occupied Kashmir comes to Pakistan than only international border would get determined ... with whole of Kashmir as part of Pakistan ... it means, if in plebiscite India get the votes, whole of Kashmir (including Azad Kashmir, Gilgit and Baltistan) would go to India ... and the international border that Pakistan show on map would stay.

Even though India shows Kashmir as their part, if you would see most world map, they show Kashmir as disputed territory (that includes Pakistan Kashmir, Indian Kashmir and Kashmir that China holds).

Re: Pakistan's map

Do you take any offence to Indians doing the same?

Re: Pakistan's map

^ am I an Indian?
@Sa1eem . Bro, what's bothering me is the fabricated history and false information that we are basing our school syllabus on. If somehow you are convinced that we can produce intelligent generation by teaching them false reality then that is your view. I think that we are being dishonest to our own people.

And for God's sake, can we stop debating that oh India is doing it.... So somehow our standards should be based on what India is doing. Don't we have our own backbone? Not just this thread, but this whole forum is full of such justifications. Our justifications of every corruption, every human right violation, every stupidity is ... oh but India is doing it. We just can't have more intelligent conversation than that.

Re: Pakistan’s map

Because if you genuinely want to have an intelligent and fair conversation, you would simply condemn a wrong practice on principle on a whole. You can’t throw a big moral outrage for Pakistan and give India a clean chit for the same crime under the pretext, oh I don’t care about India. When both countries are guilty of same thing, one cannot be ignored while other is painted cunningly evil. It looks insincere.

In regards to Kashmir map, if you genuinely and honestly care about history and geography, then you would condemn China, India and Pakistan for not being politically correct in their mapping of Kashmir. Can’t single out one country. I have seen maps of India where GB is shown as part of India.

Re: Pakistan's map

Very intelligent conversation Jolie. Please discuss what other moral inferiorites are ok to set as social norms because India and China are practicing them. Carry on.

Re: Pakistan's map

When you make desperate and scandalous statements like "Pakistan must be the only country lying about its international border". Then be prepared to be corrected for your own little lie and be told about the other side of the reality. :)

Anyway, I'm sorry to point out at India. Wasn't intending to cause any offence.

Re: Pakistan's map

Lol, I see where this is going. Implying that i am an anti pak , pro Indian - but then you think it's ok to follow Indian practices.

Awesome. You convinced me.

Re: Pakistan's map

I just called you out for your lie in your opening post since you seemed so concerned about lying.

But if you want to act defensive because India got called out, then that's your choice.

Re: Pakistan's map

Let's deviate from the actual point and start attacking the way things were said, and start doing character assassination by implying that person is ghaddar hence his thought process - because that somehow makes all the wrong things, right.

Aap ko tou siyasat main hona chaheeye thaa.

Re: Pakistan’s map

lets resolve this like adults. we should have a referendum on if TLK is sacha pakistani or indian in disguise. :flower1:

based on the lack of noor in his posts, i say indian. :naraz:
