A state based on islam?.....i truly hope that never happens.
mullahs never have and never will be accepted by mainstream pakistanis who do practice islam in their daily lives but do not wish to be ruled by them.
its sad that many pakis just HAVE to criticize a leader that is atleast trying. never in my life have i seen a more vivacious and enthusiastic leader....
and good thing he never asked for a vote.....who knows who woulda been in power if some of the posters here would have voted.....
actually he kisses butt to stay in power. it has nothing to do with people and their safety. more are dieing now than ever under his rule. that doesn’t make his butt kissing any safer for them. i can assure you if he stops his butt kjissing today he won’t see tomorrows sun rise. zia is a very good example. as long as he is nothing but a tail-wagging-dog for his masters, he’ll stay alive and in power.
more are dying now becuz of him?..really? and can u prove that? and there actually is no way to tell whether he is doing so to stay in power or for the good of people…and i like to be optimistic.
as i said before, if it saves lives then i respect him… becuz nothing…not even your soverign crap, is greater than a human life and u go tell that to your mullahs
and I have never seen so much freedom of the press in pakistan.....i remember asking my dad why no one ever writes against corrupt politicians and why is that after they are gone everyone is bad mouthing them...and he told me it was becuz we didnt have a free press. ever since musharraf has been here i am seeing freedom of the press in newspapers as well as tv... never before have i seen live shows where the public is seen giving their input on issues....and shows like 50 minutes are bringing so many issues to light.
Pakistan’s Army is loyal to it’s land? (yes, the jawans are, not the generals) Ayub made the economy stronger? Pray tell me where you are getting all this from?
Military is the number one reason why Pakistan was divided into two. We lost half the country becuase of the blunders of our elitist military leaders. Pakistan is on the verge of being labeled a “failed state,” because of the failure on our part to establish functioning democracy.
Someone mentioned something about how Mushy’s tushy was what saved us from American onslaught. The person went ahead and said, if the mullahs were wielding power than we would all be dead by now. Moot point.
If democracy was let to flourish and people were given proper education and security, mullahs would never get elected in the first place. It was the milirary and the ISI which islamicized the country and gave those mullahs avoice, not democratically elected leaders.
it is very sad how pakistani narrow mind every demon is theirs hero due to this we are very good nation in the world and we has been recongnized with sweet words hahahahahaaha
