There is a huge difference between what Shoaib Mansoor (KKL) or Ms. Sumar's docu-drama or even Ayesha (Kashf) in New York or Mehreen's "Ramchand Pakistani" are concerned....
A COMMERCIAL film is the right of the producer and investor---but since we do not have a huge market comparatively to our neighbors----its absolutely useless to wail and weep on the POOR quality of our movies.
We appear to be quite happy with GUJJARs and JEERAs and DAKU titles at the self proclaimed HEADQUARTERS of Pak-Movies...and during my recent visit to the heart of my country---for experience sake I went to a cinema right in the heart of Laxmi Chowk---where---unbelievably---I saw HOUSEFULL sign on DAKU RANI.
So my friends (and foes) let's forget about comparative issues or the deeds of Shoman, Mehreen, Ms. Sumar, Ayesha or Mr. Dehalvi...... let's
focus on how Pakistani Film Industry can recoupe itself and find its lost glory.......not at the Multan Road studios but in Karachi....
