Universe starting from the big bang, laws of gravity and thermodynamics explaining fusion-fission reactions, how the universe was a imperfect big soup of gases and matter, how these gases and matter formed a galaxy , creating super novas and black holes, and how our galaxy… whose millionth part was formed as our solar system “Earth”, and how earth evolved from a big ball of dust to a living planet, from bacteria to the most intelligent life over four billion years, through evolution is beautifully explained through science and physics.
Then someone comes along and tells me that 1500 years ago (a minuscule time from 4 billion years of evolution) A man wrote a book which was compiled 200 years after his death, and he says to throw all the ideas of science and physics in garbage and believe me as I will quote you stories with out any proof, reason or justification that this is how everything happened. “Earth being created in 7 days and 7 nights” Adam was the first man on earth and some sort of divine intervention now a days called “magic” made every thing possible .
I have to be barking mad to believe him. If I do, and my coming generations do also, than a problem like Pakistan will arise .A country who has taken religion so fanatically, literally, and technically (unlike the west who have evolved) that they would not know if their prophet is the tooth fairy, a gnome or a unicorn. If he said It, “it” must be right.
Many of you will argue that the Quran did not say it, or the sunnah does not approve, or the bible does not validate it, or the torah does not legalize it, but basically all of you are up to the same tricks
Authenticating life through Bronze Age stories and myths and totally refuting science is not a logical solution to this menace of religion.
All the ass old laws and beliefs that religious scholars and believers bring along is “OK” till the time these legends, myths, and hear-say stories do not make people suffer and kill, but once “Killing in the Name of Religion” begins then people like me have to stand up and say **Stop!!! **

what I do agree with is that ignorant adherence to supposed religious guidelines that make no sense is well non sensical, however to say toss religion out and it will solve all problems probably is not doing much, while twisting religion gives people an easy excuse, they can find other excuses along race, ethnicity, tribe, etc.
oh yeah and dont get too upset about cafe approach, that just shows people are braching out from cafe and in here. coach em, guide em, make them think, dont just push them away. They may know more than you give them credit for.
