Pakistan's Best City (Merged)

I just want to know what you guys feel is the best city in Pakistan, not the most important or stuff, just the one where someone can have the best time.

I have spend the grand time of 6 weeks ~, in Pakistan in my entire life-and that too in my local area more or less.

Do our big cities, like most in the 3rd world, have small little rich areas where the elite are sheltered from harsh realities, or is there no such super up market, enclosed places?

Any really good sectors in Pakistan?

Thanks.

Not planning a visit soon, merely want to know.

Eventhough I love Rawalpindi, I would recommend Islamabad for you since you are coming from a western country. Trust me, you will like Isloo!!!

I love Lahore... :)

Sod the big cities try Buki a few hours walking up a mountain past Dardar, which is itself a few minutes drive from Shinkiari, which is a an hour or so from Mansehra.

In karachi u have KDA1, parts of DHS, Bath Island etc. and they are served by upscale boutiques, restaurants etc.

i'm divided b/w karachi and rawalpindi :p

lahore lahore hay

Mo_Best, go and have a look at sector E-7, F-10, F-11, F-7 in Islamabad, and I will be waiting for your analysis ;)

:bhangra: Lahore :bhangra:

If you get a chance try payin a visit to ABBOTTABAD .
I am sure you'll love it, best one of them all, My home city.
I am plannin to go around april InshAllah

If I ever settle in Pakistan, it would be somewhere in swat or near skardu.., but there are a lot of other cool places; in central Baluchistan, and other parts of NWFP, and Northern punjab..too many choices, where you feel the actual cultural intracicies.

since i m from gujranwala, Gujranwala is the best. (not really):)
Islamabad

Dera Ghazi Khan :hehe:

Although I am from Attock, I will still second Abbotabad as a great place. It's a city that is not only unparalleled in beauty but has all the facilities that one would expect. I think the location is very accessible to the rest of Pakistan and the architechture is grand in the old brit designs.

Karachi - I love big cities - the bright lights - lots of stuff to do there...and lots of people...and its way ahead of the game in terms of oh....everything :D

IMO Islamabad is best for the more modern style, Lahore is best for the more traditionl holiday.
