lol! i remember the apples! and they would turn dark by the time lunch came around :( my mom started sprinkling chaat masala on them when i complained i didn't like them.. ooh joys of the first and second grade.. oh wait, she gave me apples slices till i was in 7th grade!
but we were all about the healthy food and snacks. booo! nobody wants apple slices when you're 5! or kebab sandwiches either.
