You are Desi, so you share a common identity etc. with your fellow Desis. That’s why you’re attracted to them.

Now If you were attracted to Latinos (people you didn’t grow up with/don’t share any cultural values with/Aren’t part of) I’m pretty sure you’d be attracted to them based on shallow perceptions.

What does being attracted to someone based purely on physical features have to do with culture? I think you keep confusing claim based on physical features with being attracted to someone based on their intellectual capabilities.
