no conditioner concept is there…if they wana go wid ready made stuff, ppl prefer to use gayea soap (cow soap, life bouy, n bla bla) for various durability n costing reasons.
but traditional ppl use pure multani mitti, eggs, yogurt, rosewater combined wid seveal other stuff for same purpose u ppl use deodorant, shampoo n etc stuff u mention.
n once again they do have advertisment but to specific market :).
lol…interesting point on wat we NEED n wat we WANT. (where many might take is as Luxury over there :))
Lady, maybe you are some rich little Isloo girl, but some of like to think practically. You know, what you call "looking down". I guess that's what they call taking care of poor people these days in Pakistan.

nope...i m talking u real advertising stuff dude.
n i m talking on behalf of those poor ppl. they wont gonna take it if i propose them masi idea. (rich already have hands on these luxurious needz).
k u tell me would u prefer to b Masi (kaam wali not masi mosebtay) or rather happy wid wat u r at the moment. same is with all these maidz, masiz, custodian or sweepers that they dont want to b wat they r but several thing come in front, which made them to stick in there. but they do their best to give good education to their children. so they may not b wat they r. (remember over here target audience is urban lower class)
rural middle class, first wont have access of electricity. second their skedule is tight (since they r work from sunrise to sunsets). even if they get time to watch, still availabilty of these stuff is pretty handful since only one PERCHOON ke dukan may exist, or even if couple of more r there still ppl ask for RANG GORA KERNAY KE CREAM, or Khushboo wala saban.
lol well their r lot other factors too. but seriously i wont choose ur idea. not because it may give some cents to me, but ITS CUZ IT MAY SHAKE THEIR SELF-ESTEEM dat how some Rich retardz SEE US AND THEN POTRAY US. (kuch bhi ho they earn Risk-e-halal, n also in ma skool even some were masterz)
Bay say Bhayter (better) pay nazar-e-sani ke jati hai Bay say Beter (worst) pay nahi.
p.s. or rich meray father ho saktay hian may nahi. JO MAY HOON WO MAY HOON (not wats ma dad is :D)...n YES I HAVE A VERY STONG CONNECTION WID ADVERTISEMENTS :)
I don't know what dentonic tooth powder is. I guess I need Zobia's help in looking down further.
lol dude dont get personal...but ur ad idea wahan (East) chalay ga nahi or WEST may app andaza nahi ker sakti app ko books kitnay acha lafzoo may defamation k section may humesha yaad rekhain ge :D
Choice is urz. i did wat a nice human should do> a nice advice.
otherwise TRY IT :D
Well that explains why Pakistani ads often have spelling errors...
You seem a bit naive. I think you really missed the point of my post.
seriously speaking i thought the same for u :)
(i didnt comment on urz "looking down" comment, since its a seperate dissussion. rather i want u get fimilar wid the basic semiotics i applied in my reasoning for rejecting ur idea)
(n will u elaborate on those adz where u saw spelling mistakes)
Lot of contradictions here....however, that's besides the point. While Pakistan has advanced so far in other things, they should consider moderninzing the advertisement industry a bit as well. I have no objection with maintaining certain sense of decency with the media, however, certain things should definitely be brought in the attention of general public....hygiene being one of them. Good luck to Pakistani media.
Well aside from advertising deodorant...they need to make more of an Infomercial explaining the NEED of deodorant for use everyday. I dunno but in grammar school in paki, do they edumacate about hygiene and stuff in school?
I know here early on, in grammar school, they even give out goodie bags..with deodorant/powder/toothbrush/toothpasta/condoms...and you learn about proper hygiene as well. I mean don't parents also teach/enforce proper hygiene. Albeit not everyone in paki can afford deodorant, they can at least try to bathe twice a day, use that darn talcum powder in their underarms if they have to..
I mean cant they smell themselves...doesn't it hurt?
May be B.O is considered too personal of a matter in Pakistan. I am all for starting a [FONT=Times New Roman]campaign for mandatory use.
By the way, I wonder if there are any adds in India for DEO since India is "advancing" fast. I suspect their B.O problem is little more severe.
zb, india has a bunch of local-made deos in the market since a good while, and these have been well advertised. but then again, hindustan level ltd. has always advertised its consumer products boldly.
The deodorant market in India is worth Rs 200 crore. On an average, deodorants sell at least 5 per cent more than talcum powders in supermarkets. The success of deodorants in the urban market has encouraged the leading players in the sector to launch more deo-related products.
Great info! Lets get everyone in sub.continent using it becuase it kills me every time I go to Pakistan and have to be in public places. Deo is also avalaible in Pak also but they need to advertise it on TV to promote it.
