:inna: very sad indeed. May Allah grant him jannat and strength to his loved ones to bear the pain. aameen i’ve read in the newspaper that the deceased thought that it was a fake gun and he tried to grab it when the robbers shot him in the head and the chest and escaped.

Such a tragedy. May his soul RIP and I hope they catch the guys who did it and put them behind bar for good. But seriously every pakistani knows never try to be a hero in these situations. Its not worth it for few bucks. Bad judgement
He went to my school. I’ve stood on that stop numerous times. Everyone is shocked.

This is scary & sad but the way that neighborhood has been changing this was bound to happen.
This is what happens when you try to bid for Olympics, start displacing people from the “projects” they live in & neglect one part of the city based on it’s racial demographics.
The Chicagoans reading my comments would know what I am talking about but this is all South side ka “kachra” that has been moving in slowly to the North side & no I am not a racist person but people living in the city know that any time the uneducated lot of a particular race starts moving in to neighborhoods in Chicago, the crime rate starts increasing there. Rogers Park is not what it used to be. It has taken a hit in the past 10 years.
Alderman Moore needs to do more than just campaign during local elections. Areas around Loyola & Northwestern are not the same anymore. 49th ward is probably one of the most crime infested area in North Chicago now.
And hey thank you Emanuel for legalizing conceal & carry in Chicago. As if Chicago needs any more guns than it already has.
