I see it as a good investment. I don’t work so I see this as something that’s just mine. I don’t ever wear it though but I prefer to keep it. Never know when I will need it. It’s a good idea to sell it if you think you are paying zakat and never using the jewelry. I don’t mind paying zakat since I don’t have a whole lot of jewelry.

I never wear gold, but it is an investment. In today’s age, not a lot of girls wear it (where I am anyways), BUT, it’s still valued, and it’s still given when girls get married

IMO an investment is good if the price you pay for it is fair to low. Gold has rocketed from ~$250/ounce to $1750/ounce since ~ 2003. That is a 7x return or 600% in 9 years.

So has the easy money been made? Yes. Is it still a good investment? Your guess as good as mine. Can one find better investments at current prices? Probably yes.
