Re: Pakistani sikh Love For Pakistan
Thats because as a Muslim, we are taught to believe that we are part of a larger entity… That being the Muslim Ummah or community. This community is not confined to any nationality or race.
When we die, Muslims are taught to understand that God will not ask them whether they were good Pakistanis, or good Saudis or Egyptians or good Indians, but rather good people, and thus inherently good Muslims.
You cant blame religious Muslims for putting their faith before their nation, because we are taught as Muslims that these nationalistic notions are artificial constructs, while the bonds of faith are ordained by the divine.
Hindu’s on the otherhand have a much easier time reconciling themselves with India nationalism because Hinduism and Indianess go hand in hand, since Hinduism as a religion is based in India.
good. So, shouldn’t religious muslims be barred from being president of Pakistan because as you admit, they are taught not to make Pakistan their #1 loyalty?
