Consider how it would go down if a Pakistani went to an Indian forum and started posting statistics on India's many failings. Just try it for fun, pretend your Pakistani and go talk about some of India's issues on an Indian forum.
You may very well be a sincere person, but human nature is such that when people with whom you have a history of hostility bring up issues that concern you, you tend to be distrustful.
Personally i agree with your assessment, andI think its better to own up to it then try to deny it. But you will find hostility in bringing it up simply by virtue of the fact that you are Indian... I cant change that, its the way it is between Pakistanis and Indians.
Hi Med,
I understand your point, I had previously considered using a pseudonym but then thought that would just perpetuate the myth that Pakistanis and Indians cannot get along.
There are many Indians and Pakistanis out there who jump to use the race card when they see their supposed opposite but there are also many who can see beyond that.

I'm happy to debate and discuss with you rommel but it has be that, a discussion.
Earlier you made a point that my original sources were old I then posted new statistics but you then ignored them.
My thread is about the economic situation of British Asians who all live under the same laws and privileges yet still have disparaging differences not about Pakistan or India. Hope thats clearer.

I just try to avoid it all together. Not because I dont care but because sometimes, airing out other peoples laundry just makes them even more self conscience and defensive, and you can end up making things worse rather then better.
And it doesnt help that there is no dearth of people who are genuinely horrible people, who derive pleasure from the misery of their neighbor. Just go on youtube. There could be Millions of lovely Indians out there, likewise with Pakistanis, but it only takes one a-hole to paint the entire community as suspect, because at the risk of sounding pessimistic, I find that goodwill is fleeting, but hostility leaves a lasting impression.

The last sentence - a lasting impression.

Thanks for resorting to name calling, would you have done the same had I used a pseudonym as you have done, especially if it had been an Islamic one. How about discussing the facts?Something you often shy away from.
