Re: Pakistani muslims condemn Homosexual ceremony in Islamabad
heh, I'm guessing the smiley in the end is irony. But for the lurkers who might be confused. No not all marriages that end are because one of the two parties is gay. But some are - which wouldn't even get to the point of marriage - if homosexuality was more acceptable in society. :)
Without having concrete numbers of what marriages are annulled because one of the partners is gay you can't make this claim.

I know of two marriages personally which were annulled because the man was gay - I knew the women.
And heard of perhaps six more through friends.
While these are not enough to make any claim about the EXTENT of the problem.
These are enough to conjecture that there might be more - which is why I said "But some are" rather than give a percentage of marriages which end because either party is gay.
I'm sure you realize getting these numbers are going to be difficult - and whatever numbers are reported would be prone to under reporting - because of the stigma attached. Not to mention lesbians would have a much easier time fooling a virgin man that she's straight, so marriages in which the woman is a lesbian might not even get annulled.
But lets say in all the marriages in Pakistan - there are 8 couples in which either party is gay. Is society's desire to act moral with regards to homosexuality - justifiable at the expense of these 8 couples (who MIGHT not have gotten married if society was more accepting of homosexuals - and the guy/girl would have been openly gay and hence not get married)?

^Mukobhai -
Kafirs should be allowed to challenge Islam.
They should be allowed to make fun of Muslim feelings - we are not little babies that we can't handle words of all things in the world.
They threw the party at the US embassy which is exempt from local laws - all embassies are.
In this particular case the US has done nothing wrong. Except piss off a couple of narrow minded people in Pakistan.
Sir now I seriously doubt you are even a muslim sir USA has supported a crime in Pakistan and yes we are narrow minded and proud of it at least we are not traitors to ALLAH and his PROPHET SAW
Re: Pakistani muslims condemn Homosexual ceremony in Islamabad
If a Kafir challenges Islam - would that make you less Muslim - would that hurt Allah & the Prophet in any way?
If they make fun of us for our beliefs - would that make you less Muslim - would that hurt Allah & the Prophet in any way?
I've already told you why the party was not a crime. Embassies are not subject to local laws.
If I don't give that kafir a good powerful answer that makes me a less muslim because it is the order of ALLAH and his RASOOL SAW to strike back according to the call of the kafir

I didn't read this thread and I am too old to read this,
But when I see this thread .some item comes to my memory.
I read some where,
Uncle boht naik ho gaiay hain, Har waqt Bukhari Shareef parhtay rehtay hain.
Zra peechhay kharay ho kar dekhna har waqt bab e taharat hi khulla hota hay," انکل بہت نیک ہو گئے ہیں ، ہر وقت بخاری شریف ہی پڑھتے رہتے ہیں"
"ذرا پیچھے کھڑے ہو کر دیکھنا ، ہر وقت باب طہارت ہی کھلا ہوتا ہے "

Mukobhai is obviously a kafir pretending to be Muslim in order to give Muslims a bad name. Ignore him and he will go back to which ever hole he crawled out off.

First of ALL USA has done nothing right in this case no Abassador and Ambassy is allowed to make fun of other feelings secondly what do you think if Pakistani Ambassy or Iranian Ambassy holds a ceremony on the reality of Holocaust in USA will they allow it ?
