Well my thinking is clear, To give you an example, if you tell me that all the milkmen are discriminated against and their lives are horrible due to no equal rights given by constitution then you are actually building a case against the society and in favor of milkmen. more reasons for us to support milkmen and fight for its rights instead of not being one.

Nope, science also consists of many "theories" which are not proven all the time, the moon, cures for diseases, round world are all "proven" while theories like evolution are not.

They are against the introduction of “Homosexual” culture, but have no problem with members of the esteemed clergy committing homosexual acts with underage boys…

Dude, it's not as if the US is on a mission to promote same sex marriages and homosexuality. But being a more tolerant society, they accept that people have the right to choose their partners.
Having said that, I agree it was a stupid idea to hold the parade/ceremony in Islamabad.

Javed bhai - lets look at personal choice. Can you tell me when you decided you will be attracted to women and only women? If you remember making that decision - then I can begin to think about homosexuality being a choice just like heterosexuality was a CHOICE for you. in the scientific community, they don't think in ABSOLUTES. the concept of "theory" is formed out of FACTS first of all. they call it a theory OUT OF RESPECT, because it can be improved with EVEN MORE scientific evidence in the future. your argument is flawed, dost. plus, i'd take science over your word. just saying.

Most of the people don’t have any clue of LGBT in Pakistan. There are markets for gays in Peshawar & other parts of KP/Tribal Areas, you can buy & you can rent. I know three clubs in Lahore & Faisalabad which are known as hangout for LGBT.
As far the US embassy function concerned, nothing wrong with that - our problem is we never accept the truth. Do we consider LGBT people humans, if yes then stand up for there rights so no body can bully them. atleast evolution theories have humanoid skeletons from 4 million years ago to back up their claims (and scientist disagree on which skeletons are the truest link to our evolutionary past, not because they don't believe in evolution bhai sahab). on the other hand, people who believe in god have a magical book they believe is written by an invisible being.
i'm just saying, at this point, i'd take a scientist and their THEORY with some evidence then a magical invisible being with zero evidence.

Looks like you are quite the expert. Markets for Gays? Where did you get that from? Yes there are places in KP as well as other areas within Pakistan where you can pick up male and female prostitutes but there is no such Market dedicated to Gays/Homosexuals. Many men from Punjab, Sindh and AJK have intercourse with eunuchs.
Most men in KP who have had intercourse with other males are not homosexual but sexually frustrated. In Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad you have affluent educated people who by choice are Gay and most I presume can come out to their families as they are more in tune with the West.

Its very provocative and indeed insulting . Pakistan has laws against homosexuality and hosting a pride celebration in embassy is to say the least very undiplomatic.
I am not concerned with Gays & Lesbians per se but an embassy should respect the local laws. Can the americans host a pride celebration for chinese dissidents in their Tokyo embassy? Never.
While i would say that primarily blame lies on us for being beggers and dependant on US, i find supporting the move like ravage or LulWo aborrhing as well.
Pakistan has laws against many things yet they are all broken. The USA has done worse things in Pakistan than a Gay Day ie drones repeatedly violating sovereignty. We have 3 complete cowards in control o Pakistan ie Zardari, Gillani and Kayani and more in opposition.
I do believe the USA should be careful with how it treats homosexuality in Pakistan especially since the USA hardly is the most egalitarian country for alternative sexualities.

we all know what Islam's ruling is on homosexuality. we also know Allah's azaab in the form of stoning on the Qaum (who were homosexuals) of Hazrat Loot A.S

Coming to hosting a GLBT party by the American ambassador - open your eyes..just another trick of the American Govt to spark controversy and trigger protests and create hue and chaos to steer people away from pressing issues such as drones, terrorism, corruption and crime. Destablise the country - ironic or coincidence almost all Muslim countries are going through a political turmoil and rebellions and chaos?

science suggests some people are born gay. they can't help it. some people are born with certain parts as well. and there are many other conditions like that. it's not black and white. science is winning this debate. while there is no science behind your logic. your islam is wrong on homosexuality, in this case. see my previous posts with links for my evidence.

alot of ppl are **gay by choice or out of sexual frustration. **the crux of the matter is that Americans are NOT respecting Pakistan as a sovereign country. Why we expats are so conscious of the laws governed in the countries we are in - yet turn a blind eye to all the intrustion that is happening in our country.
Supporting gay rights just because a very very few % is born gay and lauding the American ambassador to set a wonderful example of disrespecting Pakistani law and getting their own way isn't a wise thing to do.
