^ Why have the pharoes been preserved? Should the muslims of Egypt destroy them? These idols whom the taleban destroyed were in the region for thousands of years, our historical heritage, the route saw many many invasions (including those of mongols, chinese, afghans & turks) and no one touched them…there was a difference in the idols of Makkah and the ones in Swat valley…but some one came along and decided to cleanse the country from them…I dont think by doing these things we are serving ourselves or our religion…

Islamic invaders demolished Hindu temples but not those of in Swat, which is another story. One thing tell me, anyone is serving country or religion in Pakistan?
