First of all I am not American, therefore I am not in a position to accept anything on behalf of Americans.
And secondly: **Freedom of speech allows Muslims in the US to practice their religion freely, **open Islamic schools, Masjids and Community centers all over the country and to make Tabligh and Daawah. Yes, Freedom of speech also allowed that idiot and his nutjob friends to produce that movie. I don’t agree with the fact they did, but it has happened.
But then it was not Youtube, it was not Google, it was not Americans who gave the movie more attention than it deserved by promoting it. That promotion was done be our rioting brothers and sisters. And that’s EXACTLY what the producer of the movie wanted. These riots provide him with a steady income now. Had those riots not taken place, nobody (including you and me) would have even known about this movie, nobody would have had any interest in watching it and nobody would have followed it up with additional cartoons to incite even more anger in the Muslim world. In fact even those people who have seen the trailer (I haven’t and I won’t) say that it’s a complete piece of crap that they wouldn’t have bothered to watch if it wasn’t for the attention it was getting all over the world.
Feelings of Me and many other Muslims living in America are hurt by Americans, that is how they allowed to practice freely. Moreover, just go with good ethics, you will find peace. America should simply pass a rule that followers of every religion are bound to respect other religions.
