This thread makes me laugh, so to clarify it's not ok to make assumptions about desis, but it's ok to make assumptions about white people if your trying to counter-attack the assumptions about desis. As a white person who grew up in a 'multi-cultural' area, my experience has been that the Pakistanis are the most racist people I have ever encountered. Not only do they 'look down' on non-believers, they look down on white and black Muslims too. In my community their refusal to integrate has been the cause of nearly all problems. Did that stop me marrying a Pakistani? No it didn’t, I just made sure he wasn’t one of those backward, inbred, mentally retarded, hypocrites.
Typical case of lay the blame on the Pakistanis who are obv. racist yet as white person theres nothing wrong in labelling them 'backward, inbred, mentally retarded'.
Well your husband may not be an inbred, hypocrite or even backwards but he surely is one retarded Pakistani who ended up with you over a beautiful, chaste and well mannered Pakistani girl. Thankfully 'white-pakistani' couples are heavily frowned upon in B'ham and a rarity, long may it continue. Any marriages that do occur either result in a honour killing or the stupid Pakistani guy/girl involved being disowned aswell as being ostracized from the community.
Your monarchy is inbred yet the vast majority of Brits adore them.
May i ask what you mean by 'problems' caused by their refusal to integrate? What is your idea of integration?
By saying you live in a 'multi-cultural' place do you mean the city of Birmingham or a select area i.e Edgbaston, Small Heath etc ? If you mean the city then you have no rights to comment on the Pakistani mentality just because you have meet one out of 200,000+ Pakistanis who currently reside in Brum.
