Toronto and London have no problem with that so why not U.S.?

I will still do it though. Go to Toronto by road or air, stay at a hotel… Eat Pakistani Mangoes like no tomorrow and come back.
One time I told the person on checkpoint between US and Canada that the whole reason I was visiting Canada was to enjoy Pakistani Mangoes since US does not allow mangoes…and will stay at a hotel near Pakistani Shops.

**The delay in launching Pakistan’s first food irradiation plant at Lahore would deprive the country of exporting mangoes to United States this season.
US had indicated interest in importing mangoes from Pakistan provided the quarantine requirements i.e. pest management at the orchard level and irradiation as post-harvest treatment against fruit fly infestations, met United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) requirements. The Government of Pakistan therefore started project to build such irradiation plant 2 years ago which is not yet completed yet.
The orchards and radiation plant were to be inspected and approved by the USDA inspectors however at this point of time no preparation has been made for such inspection due to incompletion and we expect that this season US would not be able to have Pakistani mangoes.**

Is this true the authorities placed a difficult requirment on bringing Pakistani Mangoes in to US.
As it is Mexicans Mangoes are worth not even crap and should be fed to goats, dogs or whatever but not for human being, but somehow their mangoes get in to U.S.
they meet requirements, and as far as mangos go, u dont have to buy dem red mexican ones, u can find other ones from south america, they are called flat mangos, and found aplenty in ethnic grocery stores, they look like mini sindhris and taste like them too
^Yes. Asian markets have them. But nothing compared to Mangoes from Pakistan.
There are no mangoes like from Pakistan.
I am not sure if the standard is really strict for mexicans as it is for Pakistan; and at the expense of repeating, why the standard is even remotely not similar as it is for canada and UK?? That is my simple question.
No one that we know dies of consuming even a single mango from Pakistan in these two countries. Even those who consumed these mangoes in large amount have had any problem.
I had a suspicion for that since it did not make any sense to restrict Pakistani Mangoes.
Anyhow I will try again to travel just to get the taste of Pakistani Mangoes.
crop..for the same reason u are not allowed to bring in agricultural samples and have to note of u have been to farms etc in your trips. in some cases plant species not used to a bugs or diseases not native to that land can destroey them, same as humans get impacted..ever read about how native americans were wiped out by simple diseases?
