Pakistani Honor Killing in Italy

Ah this keeps getting better and better…

The first case of an honor killing in Italy and the distinction for this noble work goes to another Pakistani

A court in the north Italian city of Brescia has begun hearing the case against a Pakistani immigrant accused of having killed his own daughter.

It is alleged he did so because she had become too Western in her dress and manners. It could be the first case of “honour killing” in modern Italy.

Hina Saleem, 20, had worked as a waitress. She had an Italian boyfriend and wore Western clothes and make-up.

Police found blood all over her bedroom at the family home last August.

Police also found her body in a shallow grave. Her throat had been slit.

Prosecutors believe her father killed her after discussing the matter at a council of male family members because she refused to change her ways and return to Pakistan for an arranged marriage.

At Thursday’s hearing, a female judge opened and adjourned the case against Hina’s father and three other male relatives accused of killing her.

Outside, a group of Muslim women demonstrated their solidarity with the victim - carrying a banner proclaiming “I am Hina”. They were supported by the right-wing Italian MP Daniela Santanche - who was given police protection last year after being branded an infidel for comments she had made about the Muslim veil.

Hina Saleem is now buried in the area reserved for Muslims at Brescia’s Vantiniano cemetery. An earlier court hearing refused her family’s request for her remains to be returned to Pakistan.

Re: Pakistani Honor Killing in Italy

Horrible. The people who do this are only to blame themselves. If they were concerned about their children becoming too "westernized" why move to a Western country to begin with? Were they sleeping all these years when they suddenly woke up and saw their children were "too" westernized and had to be killed? I hope the pig (can't call him a father) gets what he deserves, both in this life and the afterlife.

Re: Pakistani Honor Killing in Italy

Crazy...............I am sure there will be lots of supporter for the father too......some Guppies would support the father too........Yeh duniya kab badley gee !!!!

Re: Pakistani Honor Killing in Italy

This is a prime case of hypocracy in our society!

the father and the male figures do enjoy the western cloths of other females,

There is an old story about it, my mother use to tell me at bed time.

Story goes like this,

Once upon a time, there was a pious man in Baghdad, he was a trader and had good living, time changed and because of some heavy losses he lost all his wealth and they were starving.
At that point one of her daughter, stood up and tried to sell her body to get food for her father and siblings. She went out on street but alas! after all day of wandering around couldn't find her self a costumer.
She came home crying and complained to her father that, even she is beautifull but no man even looked at her, father replied, " dear daughter, how can the look at you, when i never gazed any lady in my life, when i was young and when i was wealthy and powerfull".

Re: Pakistani Honor Killing in Italy

The story is simple, what goes around comes around,

agr maa baap sahi deen dar hooN ( not like lal masjid) tu aulaad bhi in the most cases aisi hi hoti hay, otherwise what ever they do comes in front of children.

Re: Pakistani Honor Killing in Italy

Deen dar maan baap kai haan bhe nalaik aulad paee jati hai.

Re: Pakistani Honor Killing in Italy

Exactly..... Parents do their upmost. You cant blame parents for the mistake their next generation make...... The story was nothing but a cliche.
From religious point of view, the sins of our fathers..are not passed on...period. Its not part of Islamic thinking, rather culturel....though. Mostly to frighten young people or such.

My former mother in law, may allahjee bless her soul, ameen:
She would say to my ex:
However you treat me as mother....your kids will treat you likewise....be carefull. Aap ke agay na aaay.... And he would reply: jo aap ke aagay aaya hai, pheyle aap vo sambhaalein..... And Id watch him..thinking how he had the heart to say such to his very religious paakiza mother..... Nobody ever saw her hands or face..none mahrem.

I agree, the parents are hypocrites.

If they’d given her a proper upbringing she wouldn’t have lost her ways, and killing her was a bit of an overreaction.
