Most people living in Pakistan are illiterate but what do you expect from a country with less than 50% literacy rate. I remember when Altaf Hussain said something in favor of Ahmadis and called Ahmadis muslims and then pretty much everyone in Pakistan were going in rage. It's a sad what mullahs + madrassas can do. We have some brainwashed extremists in this forum as well.
But I'm Pakistani and I don't hate Ahmadis.

although i agree to desert bird ahmedis are occupying big positions but i am not sure if they can disclose there belief openly...
i remember from my younger years one of the family in our neighbourhood was always being suspected of being qadiani, although one of the guy had been my friend and never asked him about it, never heard a thing from him about it they had good business good living but still people always asked is it true they are qadianis...can any one declare themselves openly and would society accept them i think no and yes both.
amendment declaring ahmedis non muslims was one of the darkest chapter in our history of passing that amendment, i mean every state form we fill we have to declare we arent ahmedis whats that sh?? .
a state doesnt ask these kinds of ridiculous questions from its citizens and dont differentiate between them on basis of religion.
think as being a citizen not muslim etc how would one feel when same question is asked from you in US or europe.
when france considers banning burqa mullahs cry foul while they support same treatment for their own citizens.
we have to learn that when it comes to nationhood religion has to be second because that concerns you only not necessarily whole nation.

Absolutely bull****....Ahmadies are being criminalised for their existence by passing laws against them....they are being called wajibul qatal every other day in mosque....
hence yes Pakistani Mullah hate Ahmadies...perhaps not all Pakistanis.

Of course Ahmadis are hated by a significant portion of the population.
Lets just look at this recent incident. In the first few lines that ran across the screen as breaking news, the 'places of worship' were called masajid and what ahmadis were doing there was called jumma prayer. Later on it became 'places of worship' and ibadat. One station had the gall to say that Ahmadis were gathered to commemorate the death anniversary of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad.
Most of you must have been watching news about this. Ask yourself the following. How many ahmadi representatives have you seen on TV? They have called other mullahs who even in this hour of horror have said that ahmadis are wajib-ul-qatl but no one from Ahmadiyya community. Ahmadis have held two news conferences about the incidents where quite a few reporters were present. How much of those have been shown on TV?
Even now, after all this killing, you can see banners in the same neighbourhoods and other places in which ahmadis are declared wajib-ul-qatl. Those who go and kill ahmadis are promised paradise and a warm welcome by none other than the Holy Prophet (saw) along with panj-tan-pak. No ahmadi has ever incited anyone to kill others yet our gatherings are prohibited. While those openly calling for murder are allowed to preach their hatred. These khatam-e-naboowat types hold their meetings many times a year in Rabwa, a city 99% of whose population is ahmadi. They use loud speakers and pronounce that ahmadis are wajib-ul-qatl and use derogatory language about our holy personalities. Yet not one of them has been harmed by an Ahmadi. Why do you think this continues? It is because they have the sanction of Pakistani constitution behind them and also of a major portion of the population.
A person who says that they are non-muslim and praises the fact that this is engrained in the constitution and then says that despite this they shouldn't be harmed is living in a fool's paradise.
Mullahs have used the following route to make life hell for ahmadis. First lets declare them non-muslim(2nd ammendment). Then ask if they are non-muslim, why do they act like a muslim? We need to stop them from acting like muslim(Ordinance 20). They are not just non-muslim, they are murtad and the killing of a murtad is very good and gives you many benefits in the after life so lets kill them.

Its not Pakistanis, its just maulvis that hate Ahmedis. On the day of the attack, I saw some bearded people who were very delighted at the news.

I hate anyone who would try to enforce their religious belief on me just like I hate talibans because they believe in danda-preaching system (totally unislamic). I am happy following my own set of beliefs freely as a Pakistani as Pakistan was supposed to be a free Islamic land for all regardless of their faith (exactly what Islam teaches). So as long as ahmedis are following their own beliefs & not telling me by force to start following it too, I have absolutely no reason to hate them. Infact, being my fellow Pakistanis, they naturally have all my respect which a non-Pakistani would have to earn.

^^ ajuba, I was responding to the thread's topic that that would be the only reason to make me hate anyone (like I hate talibans or any other muslim or non-muslim extremist groups / communities). Did not mean that ahmedis do that but what I meant was that that would be the only reason for me to hate them if they did that (like talibans do) & not their beliefs or anything else about them. Infact, being patriotic Pakistanis which they are, they actually have my respect & not hate.

My two cents on the topic.
Yes i think they are hated in Pakistan. Its like Qadianis are bad unless proven otherwise and a lot of people think that harming them is a godly act. In this aspect no sect has been behind the others, rather in the past most sporadic acts of violence against qadianis have been from otherwise passifist brelvis. In mid ninties there was a sudden surge of violence against them in Lahore, where anyone one known was randomly picked and beaten up.
But then religious tolerance is rock bottom in Pakistan anyway. Fighting to take over control of mosques is common place. There are people who have not seen inside of mosque for years but they willl readily jump into violence when it comes to intersect matters.

but let aside those Brelvis and Deobandis , the mere Personality Worshippers of thier specific schools of thought where millions of pages made black from both side against each other that how A'la Hazrat Raza Ahmed Khan said vulgar words in his books against Deobandis and how derogatory language used in response by the Taqi,Rafi ,Hussain Madni and Co. Remaining are Salafi or Wahabi that instead of making the non-namazis to come to namaz or think about broader meaning of true Islamic Philosophy of Love of Humanity, the whole religion revolves around Ameen Bil-Jahr , Rafa Yadain , Putting hands on Chest and to recite Durood before Azan or not and declaring Sufias as Bidati,Mushrik, Music Dancers ,Deviant and thats all.
I am talking about general demograhics of the educated and literate portions of the country like big cities and urban areas where there are certainly not specific areas of Ahmedis and they live in mixed society within Sunni majority. Rabwa is just an exception. Similarly Shias also remain in the sunni areas and there are not seperate colonies or places. In Lahore alone, thousands of Ahmedis live , probably the most out of roughly 4 Million in whole Pakistan yet from 1947-2010, I dont remember there a clash between the majority Sunnis and Ahmedis in any Street or Locality where a violent mob of Ahle-Sunnat either by State backing or itself attacked any Ahmedi Locality or house.Individuals attacks are surely, large in no, a little sense of biasness is certainly there.Even in my locality , there are 6 or 7 Families of Ahmedis, 12+ Shias in the mixed sunni dominant society yet I dont remeber any incident about Shias and Ahmedis in these whole years. Not only religious divisons, political ones are even more interesting. There are staunch PPP Jiyalas , Raiwind Sharif followers, Jamatiyai , Imran Khan lovers and so on. Whole Lahore is divided on such political and religious fault-lines. Best educational institutions like FC College , Kinnaird College, Cathredal,St.Anthony etc are owned by Christians.Attack on them Gojra , again Laskra-i-Jhangvi was involved. I am not saying condition is ideal but in my life in Lahore, I have not seen any planned attack on any minority or political group from majority or state backing appratus at the forefront except the Corrupt Law Minister riding with Hafiz Ludhianwi of SSP in Jhang to get a seat in Punjab Assembly which is really condemnable.
In Sindh , thousands of Hindus live and alone in Karach also.In interior Sindh there are attacks on Ahmedis and Hindus but not any Indian Gujrat like incident .Yet in Karachi, unfortunately, political fault lines are much visible and zones of Baluchs, Bengalis, Urdu-Speaking,Sindhis and Punjabi play roles in local body and nation wide electoral process and violence is also the ingredient behind this political game of power to control this city.Yet from Interior Sindh , Justice Bhagwandas like Hindu not only remained Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan but also today he is Chairman Federal Service Public Commission , Pakistan Highest and Most Power Civil Servants Appointment Body and all CSS Exams and Promotions **are done by FPSC and this is such a powerful seat that even President of Pakistan and Prime Minister cannot remove Chairman FPSC from his seat.Pakistan Highest Ranked University by HEC , QAU of Islamabad and its Physics Department which is 1st in Rankings in Pakistan is chaired by an Ismaili Sect Academian of MIT , the famous **Dr.Pervez Hoodbhoy...
I am not defending the hatred against Ahmedis and to some extent againt Shias , Christians and other minorities by religious fanatic groups but generally in masses of public and society , there are very few incidents of attack or hatred about specific group from moderate and otherwise non-violent majority .
