Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

I recently cut my hair very short and my relatives and Pakistani friends joke about it in a sort of “loving way” but it still bothers me that they joking about me. It honestly doesnt look bad, its just super short. like the other day, they “jokingly” called me [dont laugh] a “munipade” im not even sure i spelled that right. I just heard that in Pakistan especially, girls with short hair are looked down upon. Im just wondering why that is?:naraz:

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

hmm thats a first....most of the women/girls in my family have short hair...i've always had short hair ever since i was 17......i dont think its a pakistani thing not to have short hair..just ignore such retards...they have nothing going for them so they have to make other people's lives miserable

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

I have quite a few relatives in Pak with short hair -- tho most cut it in a more stylish short cut after the wedding. Before the wedding it stays long usually.

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

Its just the backward limited nongrowing retarded mentality of desis to associate short hair with boys.

Dont listen to 'em at all.

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

Most female members of my family choose thier hair style themselves.

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

Like women shaving and growing beard? How about no facials for few months for starters? How about a tind? :halo:Some unique things look great on men and some on women and it has nothing to do with “backward” mentality that modernist morons try to use to justify their gayish forwardness!

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

Dear Shizadi! u r very right! i have to agree wid u on this subject!

I had hair till my end of back, i cut them since managing them is way too hard  Unfortunately my husband DID NOT like it at all, he refused to take me to gatherings and other places although he is an graduate and lived his entire life in London, where as im am born n brought up in the GCC. I was so surprised that what sort of behavior hes having towards me.

Anyways his 2 brothers/ their wifes have hair till the end of back as well… It is so conservative, dakyanoosi log!!!:snooty:

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

Please explain to me how having short hair equates to a ‘unique thing’ :clown:

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

It is a unique *thing to men... until the "*modern" wanna bees crawled out of their holes to tell us otherwise.

Why stop at short hair? Why not a tind(shave the head)? See, that you wouldn't do because then it would make you look like shah-dolay ki chuhi rather than a woman. Why waste hours and money on facials? Let the hair grow on the face, legs, etc. After all, it has nothing to do with *boys *right?

After all is said and done make sure you also get a transplant of some sort for self service as no boy would want you.

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

Men have facials and have long hair too you know

FYI

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

Ignore them, its your hair.

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

Although I do have to add here some pakistani women look hideous with short hair :-s

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

if ur gonna grow ur hair long, keep it healthy!! Too many desi women with overfried and dried long hair, it makes em look churailish :yukh:

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

Gotta agree. All these folks use the term “backward thinking” to justify their ludacris arguments.

I can show you TONS of women that look UGLY with LONG hair. And I can show you TONS of women with SHORT hair that look ugly as crap.

It all depends what suits your personality better.

How about you post your picture and we all can vote???

Democratic Society? HELL YEAH!!!

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

i remember there was such a big controversary when Iraj (the model) cut her hair really short.....

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

This doesn’t make any sense. Please explain.

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

Sara, you hit the nail squarely on the head! I get so revolted by desis with long, ratty, shapeless hair. No amount of thel is going to help that—cut it off!

In my family in Pakistan, they really like shorter hair on the girls and women–to them, it’s a sign you’ve visited a salon, spent money and are taking care of yourself.

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

^my moms hair is kinda like taht..but she wears a scarf over it, and she keeps it up always so it doesnt look that bad..
you don't have to go short short..but a decent length, and make sure its silky and healthy and isnt too damaged..I cut off about 2-3 inches..:(

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

Re: Pakistani Girls and Short Hair

all depends on what suits ur personality.. but in any case they shud be shiny and healthy.
