Re: One of my favourite fighter jet
Hmm, i dont know where your going with this one.. Afterall whatsignificance dose this have with pakistani military affairs.. But i shall entertain your post with my own contribtion.
The Su-35 is no doubt as some pilots call it a nightmare of a fighter, but its is no match for my favourite the F-22 raptor http://www.f22fighter.com/, however many say that while the f-22 vauled at 132million dollars per unit is far to expensive as compared to the su-35 and 37, the mere fact is that quality over quantity.
Now you will say well if the f-2 is now what about the Mig 1.44 or the Pak/fa? well they are still ideas, and seriously speaking they are being designed to compete against the f-35 which is hoped to replace the aged f-18 and lets admit well serviced f-16 series ( the most sucessful fighter in the world)
Cuurently if the Su-35 is the nightmare of fighters, well then the f-22 is the god of fighters and in closing i shall say, why buy a corvet when you can have a ferrari?
^ You are comparing apples with oranges... Flanker was introduced in Mid 80s and F22 is still being developed.... Draw your conclusion... For the price of one F22 I can buy 5 Flankers....

omce again, its a matter of shere choice, would you coose a covette over a lamborghini?
Please, the F22 flew its first test flight a couple of weeks back and is lets face it, far better then the flanker... No comparision..

I can see, that this could drag on, but lets just say that the flanker is the past, the Raptor is the future... Welcome to the Future..."The Future's Bright, The Future is Raptor" lol... :)

The only problem with that statement is ,that in the simulations conducted by DERA (in the UK) to assess the affectiveness of current and future western fighters against the Su-35, they found that it took 10 Su-35s to kill one F-22. Admitadly, it was only a simulation , but it gives an idea as to the sheer capability of the F-22

The Su 37 is not a solution but part of the problem. We need fighters such as te grippen!

How?
Some of the top military jet fighters are:
S-37
SU-37
F-18/16/14/15/22
And assorted European jets.
I would pick S-37 & F-22 as the best of them all.

Only one problem the f-22 costs a bomb! personally i would always go for the f-16 but yes the F-22 is the most amazing aircraft i have seen to date!
Foreign Fighters?
Tawba Tawba Tawba
How can you love foreign fighters when the nation is on the brink of making it's own super dooper flying warriors (JF-17) with the help of Allah.
20 MF-17 Super Mashaks Ready For Delivery
Pakistan has informed Saudi Arabia that 20 Super Mashak aircraft are ready for delivery. The twin-seat light aircraft is the best machine for aerial surveillance. Minister of State for Defence Production Maj (retd) Habibullah Warraich said Wednesday that as the Riyadh government releases payment, the planes would be dispatched to Saudi Arabia.
The minister of state, who accompanied President Musharraf to Saudi Arabia, said these aircraft are equipped with sophisticated instruments and meant for training even at low altitude. The agreement for the sale/purchase of planes has already been finalised between the two brotherly countries. Each aircraft will cost Saudi Arabia around 20 million rupees, he added.
To a question, he said the Saudi government has deferred purchase and payment of Al-Zarrar tanks and Armoured Personnel Careers (APCs) because of the huge debts. Saudi Arabia has to offset loan worth US$ 200 billion. The expenses are the result of first Gulf war but the Saudi government would be able to clear the burden in a couple of years, he hoped.
To a question, the minister said Saudi Arabia has assured Pakistan that it will purchase tanks, APCs and other equipment but Islamabad will have to wait for some time. The minister made it clear that Pakistan did not take up the issue of supply of oil free of cost or on defer payment to Pakistan as President Musharraf advised all members of his entourage not to raise the matter with the host.
Pakistani Defence
God Bless Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
GOD BLESS PAKISTAN ![]()
It was only 60 years ago that the West after the world war mastered this technology of making aircrafts.
It was nearly 60 years ago that pakistan became independent and started making everything of it's own.
So why is Pakistan lagging behind in this field?
