Re: Pakistani Dramas
There are dramas that do depict current problems /issues in Pakistani society.
Currently, in ARY drama 'Roag' the issue of child abuse has been tackled very well. In Hum-TV drama - Qaid e Tanhai, they hilighted issues of people who leave their country to earn money, very beautifully. There are dramas on War-on-terror 'Khuda Zameen se gaya nahin' and 'Fasl e Jaan se aage'. In PTV drama 'Hawa Rait aur Angan' problems faced by working women were dealt with properly.
Then there are dramas which are taken from female digests and at times they are full of fantasies at the cost of reality. Main Abdul Qadir Hoon, Pul Siraat, Mann o Salwa are examples of such type of dramas.
That means all kind of dramas are being produced. Its the matter of choice now. Those days have gone , when ppl had to bear with PTV for watching an Urdu feature (edited feature) film in a month at around 11 pm after watching 'Senate ka ijlaas', 'Qomi assembly ki karawai'.
