Just heard news on GEO that Pakistani supper star Yousaf Youhana has accepted Islam.

Yes that is in the print media for some days now. Yoohana was interviewed on a local tv channel and we followed that interview. When asked if he has accepted Islam, he said, "Go and ask thos people who are saying this."
Any one knows who started this? and how much authentic is this news?

It is authentic now he has accepted Islam, his new name is Mohammad Yousuf and he prayed Magrib namaz after that he announced openly he has converted to Islam.

not when you are 31. I was 3 years old when I had it, and it was quite painful. I can't even imagine what it would be like for a 30 year old to get it.

It could be a political decision but what he does not realize that Pakistanis are still not mature enough and unfortunately they will still call him CHOORAA on his back. Anyway, religion is a personal issue and I don’t understand why other people are celebrating. It is between yoyo and God and all I care about is his batting form for Pakistan. Now whether he scores those runs as Christian youhanna or Muslim yousaf is totally irrelevant.
Along the same lines, how about if Kaif and Pathan decide to become Ajay and Sumeet. Would Muslims be open enough to accept that decision gracefully too or a Fatwa would be issued by Mullahs to kill them.

Very good question.
However in India, people tend to be INDIANS first, and Hindu, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians second…nobody really expects or cares about people converting from Islam to Hinduism…except may be for some hard-core Mullah organizations…the kind of people who are currently obsessed with Sania’s skirts.

Even hardcore Hindu Organization react the same way. We have seen protest against Christian missionaries. ( Grahan Stein murder case ).
Coming to skirts… unfortunately there again if Mullah’s are againt Skirt then cultural police of Safron Brigade are also opposing Valentine’s day and ransack movie theatre when FIRE was shown.

I dont understand what is the big deal if Youhana converted. Will he be not dropped if scores 10 ducks in next 10 innings. I hope love of supporters wont fade away.

f&b, the last thing I will do is defend the Hindu fanatics who burn Christian Kids while they are sleeping. Also, I am all for putting people like Bal Thackeray behind bars.
However, I am sure you know that Hindu fanaticism does not have the kind of popular support that the Muslim version enjoys. Also, it is not wide-spread and mostly driven by poltical exigencies(ever heard of a Hindu suicide-bomber).
If Irfan Pathan were to convert to Hinduism tomorrow, I (a Hindu)would not be tremendously delighted like some of the guppies here are on Youhana's supposed conversion.....come to think of it..I would probably find it ikky...

Humm… what makes you think that Muslim version enjoys more support. How many people are on road to support those Mullah’s opposing skirt. And we know how many people ransacked stores,movie theatre. Also this argument doesnt hold water after having seen what happened in Gujrat and election after that. That is called popular support. Its on record.
It is just superiority complex that many Indian Hindus enjoy that their version doesnt have popular support. They are kidding themselves. Unfurtunately if you look objectively within Indian context( forget about Arabs and others) you will notice that Hindu version beats Muslim version hands down.
Agree with Irfan Pathan example. I find whole Youhana episode and excitement here amusing.
