Both were forced into this marriage so how was the girl being raped in this marriage? If she could execute a plan of killing a dozen of ppl, she really could escape her rape too. MAYBE she was raping her husband. Who knows?
He wanted to keep his wife with him, means he wanted to have sex with her? What? For this very reason any husband would confine or want to keep his wife? I would really like to know the percentage of desi woman complaining of marital rape in US. In desi culture it’s not called marital rape, it’s called arranged marriage.

You do realise rape means no consent..

And if a man is erect usually it means he is aroused.. ie enjoying.. and if he’s enjoying it we can assume he is consenting.. That’s why it’s difficult for a woman to rape a man, though it can still happen..

Also, I read that her plan had not been to kill a dozen people.. She had put poison in the lassi probably thinking it would only affect her husband and/or his family (not that that makes it ok obviously)..

I tend to agree with Reha though, am guessing she has mental issues or was abused or something.. It not, why wouldn’t she just leave? There’s not a lot of detail to this story yet.. I wonder if she has any injuries, marks, bruises, any general signs of mistreatment..

As to why it’s not ok to execute someone **if **it’s proven he/she has mental issues.. erm because they are not in control of their minds.. Civilised people don’t execute those who are mentally handicapped because they are not in control/not aware of what they’re doing.. their brains aren’t functioning like yours or mine..
