Maybe you’re not understanding what a real marriage is all about and maybe its too soon for you to be married.
Marriage in reality deals very little with professions and engineering. It actually deals with how much respect you have for one another and how compatible you are on a personal level. If your wife reads these posts, I believe she will be offended so if I were you I would ask to have them removed as soon as you tie the knot.
People in certain professions are more respected then others ONLY in circles where its not as common. A doctor is usually revered as God in circles where there arent any to begin with. A lawyer is looked at as a catch only among people who have never seen one before.
As for money, you dont need to be a doctor to make a lot of money sweetheart…you just need to be smart. And if a medical degree is all the proof you need to declare someone “bright”, then I guess there are a lot of not-bright people on GS (including yourself) arent there? Ya hear that teachers, architects, programmers, accountants, etc? None of you are bright.
Here is something to ponder:
MARRIAGE :

Compare royal marriage.9.a piece of antique furniture assembled from components of two or more authentic pieces.10.Obsolete. the formal declaration or contract by which act a man and a woman join in wedlock.
Your criteria has nothing to do with the actual definition of marriage and that should tell you something.
I think number 6 describes your marriage perfectly well.
Good luck…I am sure you will be fine!
