With all these other best team threads opened up, it gave me an idea.
If you had to choose the best Pakistani team possible to match up against the current Aussie one day team, what would it be.
You can choose players from any era preferably 1975 onwards.
I know we have this before many times but there are many new members, and I would like to know the choices of everyone.
So here is how is going to be, we choose a team step by step, starting with 2 openers and going down the order.
Please do not present all 11 players once.
In the end where everyone has voted on the position of openers and the majority of the votes tallied. then we would concentrate on the middle order.
So lets start with the opening pair for one dayers Pakistani team had many in the past, who would be the 2 best openers to face the bowling attack of McGrath and Gillespie or Lee.
Some names;
Saeed Anwar
Amir Suhail
Ramiz Raja
Majid Khan
and many more whome I forgot to mention.
Everyone, only present your openers and not other players.
And is it possible to change the format of this thread? Why can't everyone just post their teams and be done with it instead of you waiting for everyone to nominate people for a position? Either way Saeed and Aamir it is for me.
If the name of the thread is 'Pakistan XI', why don't we have a template that everyone can write their names and justifications against. Won't it be more organized than discussing each position one at a time? just a thought Umair.
Too much to handle when laughing? I sometimes hope watching Afridi bat will cause the fielders in the circle to laugh enough that they eventually spill a chance in distraction when he’ll eventually spoon a catch high in the air.
I thought about that too. Didn't see Majid though so I thought I'd go with the best of what I've seen.
I also thought of nominating Imran Nazir and Affers but I thought that would be too much for the Aussies to handle. We'll go easy on them.

Majid's batting was majic and having watched him play and all the other openers, just going off topic for a moment I would rank Majid the top opener followed by Saeed, Mohsin Khan and Aamir.
Samb if you would have nominated Affers, that would have been a crime punishable by banning you from GS.
