musharraf is doing fine and pakistan is doing good, dnt get worried.

he could not do anything else other then bring in corrupt ministers, cos there all corrupt, if one goes another corrupt has to replace him.
the thing what musharraf has done is make check posts for corruption and you can see that it has gone much better now and all the corruot minister are not that corrupt anymore

All is good for those who look at only $$$ i.e. economy is doig good. Can anyone tell us where is accountability? Where is justice? How can anyone claim corruption is down when Chodharies are in power, Mushy is trying to cleanse Bibi by NRO while petty thieves of Rs 1000 are in jail for life, big theives are sent out with an “accord” … wah wah, that is some scene of “progress”. Economy is doing good :k:

well obviously others here dont know supplya nd demand because no one seemed to know the different types of inflation.

the question was asked about reasons for inflation, and questioning one definition that was provided. I provided two commonly used and accepted definitions of inflation which support that definition.

PS: I have not heard of "hording" or "consmer protection" ;)

Demand pull inflation is normally short term inflation due to shortages of supply, but that is not what we talking about. In Pakistan inflation has been going up continuesly between 6 and 11% for 6 or 7 years.

well you can not fix everything in one go can you,
economy must be the first thing for any developing country and gov. has done there job on that, hopefully others will follow.
you also need to look at the whole picture of the choudries and NRO, this deal thing with bb is nothing more then a drama by musharraf to get rid of her, mark my words there.
while on choudries i allready commmented before, they might be corrupt but look at how they have turned the city of lahore around and brought industralization to punjab, musharraf had no choice but to side with a corrupt cos there all corrupt and he had to choice one.

less about shortages of supply but growth if demand largely due to supply of money to public, government expenditures and also impacted by price levels globally since teh economy is not insulated. with continually increasing wages and profits and longer term government expenditures, you can see demand pull inflation go over a longer period. Additionally, you can see several waves of the same phenomenon happen in succession, just like u can have multiple recessionary waves.

anyways this gets into keynesian economics whic I am sure aside from youa nd i and maybe a handful of others, ppl would pop a vein trying to follow the phillips curve and all. I just wanted to make sure we did acknowledge teh demand pull theory.

both phenomenon are present in Pakistan, i.e. bot types of inflation, along with predatory practices due to lack of controls and lack of enforcement on price fixing and cartels among other things.

nothing can happen in 1 night, just look at the situation pakistan was in when mush came into power, we were bankrupt to the core, the whole world was saying pakistan is finished, yet this dictator managed to turn the tables around save pakistan and make it the second fastest growing economy in the world (before earthquake)

things take time and what you are expecting it will take years and years to come even if we have the best people as leaders, but from my above statement you can see we are growing fast and will get there eventually.

i guess musharraf will leave this to the courts to decide, which i think will sentence her to life in prison,

then why is it that industrialization is only happening in punjab, why isnt it happening in sindh , nwfp or balochistan (only little)

i give pervaiz elahi the credit as he was the minds behind sunder industrial estate, M2 and the new huge one being made in faislabad to bring 4 million jobs,

as for them being inocent, well i never said the were innocent, they are corrupt but he had to side with a corrupt cos they all were corrupt, he just choose the person he thought would do the best and im happy with the results in lahore and punjab.
