ZIM scores 250 then PAK need to get them in 14 overs
ZIM scores 200 then PAK need to get them in 13 overs
ZIM scores 150 then PAK need to get them in 12 overs
ZIM scores 100 then PAK need to get them in 11 overs BEST OPTION :k:
If PAK bats first and
PAK scores 300 then PAK need to bowl them out at 110
PAK scored 250 then PAK need to bowl them out at 62.
Pak will inshallah beat zimbabwe with a big margin. I will support Pakistani team no matter what. They win or lose, they are Pakistan's heros.
Pakistan Zindabaad.
You've made an excellent point but remember, the points in these rounds are going to be counted in Super Sixes too. If Australia beats England, then even if Australia loses all three of his matches in Super sixes, its still advanced to the Semi-finals.
Australia has 24 pts, even if they lose all three mathes in Super six, Australia is still in the semis.
So I doubt Australia will purposely lose to England.

Thanks, waisay I didn't know about this rules if they won all matches then still they will quilify for semi after loosing all matches, in this case Australia will definately try to win the match!

The best thing pakistan can do right now is to field first, bowl zimbabwe out for less then 150 and THEN pakistan will know in exactly how many overs they need to get those runs. Insha'allah we will qualify and knowing kenya is in super sixes, pakistanis must be feeling really hopeful for semis if we qualify . Insha'allah we will.

yeah I agreed, Pakistan should field first, lets pray for Pakistan, and mera dil kehta hay Pakistan will qualify for super six, and so on inshAllah :)

lol, chup karo :p
saby, is it really offcial calculation ?
It looks defficult but not impossible !
let us see...
** Its not official, it was told on some cricket prgramme on PTV, they themselevs said that right figures will be clear tomorrow morning. These are just raw figures. and ofcourse Pakistan will know what to do. Lets hope for a miracle.
well i must say AQ’s calculations look right ot me BUT lets see what official comes out of this.
I Was wathcing GEO tv programme and anwar maqsood was the host and moin khan was the guest. and one clown as a comic support. They were discussing india-pak match, in the end when Anwar maqsood said well “Moin abhi bhi pak ka chance tu hai??” The other guy responded yeah hai “agar lahore rawalpindi ko hara de, multan karachi ko hara de ya Saddam bush ko hara de”
Following today’s Australia v England result, the scenarios for the Pakistan v Zimbabwe game are as follows:
Australia have finished 1st in the Pool on 24 points.
India have finished 2nd in the Pool on 20 points.
If Zimbabwe win the match then they will finish 3rd on 16 points.
If there is a Tie or a No Result then Zimbabwe will finish 3rd on 14 points.
If Pakistan beat Zimbabwe there will be a 3-way tie between themselves, Zimbabwe and England on 12 points each. As Pakistan will have beaten Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe beaten England and England beaten Pakistan each team will have one win in matches played between them. The finishing positions will then be decided by net run-rate. As Zimbabwe will have lost in this scenario it is impossible for their net run-rate to surpass England’s, and they will thus not qualify for the Super Six. For Pakistan to qualify for the Super Six they will need to ensure that their net run-rate is above England’s. For them to achieve this the following example targets will apply:
**
If Zimbabwe bat first and score 100, Pakistan will need to get the runs in
10.5 overs.
If Zimbabwe bat first and score 150, Pakistan will need to get the runs in
12.1 overs.
If Zimbabwe bat first and score 200, Pakistan will need to get the runs in
13.2 overs.
If Zimbabwe bat first and score 250, Pakistan will need to get the runs in
14.2 overs.
If Pakistan bat first and score 200 they will need to dismiss Zimbabwe for
13 or less.
If Pakistan bat first and score 250 they will need to dismiss Zimbabwe for
62 or less.
If Pakistan bat first and score 300 they will need to dismiss Zimbabwe for
112 or less.
If Pakistan bat first and score 350 they will need to dismiss Zimbabwe for
161 or less.**
Note that these targets are approximate in the event of Zimbabwe batting first, as they assume that Pakistan pass the target by 1 run. It is possible that they could get the winning runs with a six and thus pass the target by 6 runs. Thus it is possible that they may have an extra ball or two available if they do this.

These 2 scenarios look possible for Pakistan to achieve.
It doesn’t matter, Pakistan desperatly needs Afrdi to click.

Hihgly unlikely. The last scenario is the best one, score 350 and get them under 161 but the most difficult one too.
It WILL be a miracle. :jhanda:
lets hope it metarialize.
i say if pakistan wins the toss they let zim play first..bowl them out as fast as they can and score the target as fast as they can...they will have 10 wickets on hand and they can start hitting from the beginning..this would be my team:
