if it wasnt for the damn rain we would have won this world cup
Fortune favours the brave
Pak deserved to be kicked out of this competition after their dismal display in the crucial matches .... so i think it's going to be SL vs. Aussies or India vs. Aussies.... maybe a repeat of '96 ....

so here we have the super six line up:
AUSTRALIA
ZIMBABWE
INDIA
SRI LANKA
NEW ZEALAND
KENYA

Aussies are already in the Semi-Final. No worry for them but they ain't gonna lose a single match. Their clash against Srilanka gonna be tough while facing Muttiah, ouch!
India gotta strong batting-line up; and I predict Sachin might make 1000 runs in the World Cup. Kenyans have been lucky along with Zimbabwe.
Overall, this is turned out to be a unexpected result of the preliminary round. Never thought SA, West Indies and Pakistan wouldn't be able to qualified for the Super Sixes.
Oh well, what can we do about it. Admit the fact with open heart. :)
Edited: Oh btw, Cricket is a game, not life. Cheers. :)
:(
Sheeraz: Yar you already sound like the report of the Inquiry Committe that is being setup for the dismal team performance in the WC :D
now some new faces (heads with brains working properly) are needed in Pak-Cricket
hopefully some changes are made before sharjah
Australia and India or S/Lanka to be in the final !!!
In the end, Pakistani team gets wat they deserved...!
Look at the Indians, they lost the first match, huge protest come across the counrty which forced the players to show their top performance and the result is infront of all of us.
On the other hand, wat we did???? Man this is all a planned game and I know our players are not that bad as they performed, its just a matter of politics that is involved in the team ! But, I must say, they didn't played for the Pakistan, they played with the feelings of the Paki ppl around the world.
Go Home And Sleep Well ![]()
AR: give them a break, its too easy to blame, they are just not bond to their best shots these days. :-)

U dont know about my feelings
I just want to cry For Those Ullu kay ^$%$#% But I cant :(
its okay.. insha'Allah they will learn from it and there is always the next one :-))
Relax guys, take it easy. Being an Indian, I'm happy that we made it to Super 6, but no need to get worked up. This is just another game.
Would the chest thumpers here would start wailing if Pakistan loses in the coming Azlan Shah Hockey tournament? I doubt. At max there'll be a single thread with a handful of one liners and guppies will go to sleep peacefully.
So treat it just as any other game and not a battle for survival.
Coming back to Pakistan team, IMO it is in the stage of transition. Old orders are falling yielding place to new. In this transitional period there will be lottsa hiccups. This is nothin' new, it happened with India, WI, England.
So chill out.
A Sad day for Pakistan cricket and thourghly underserved exit for Wasim Akram, Rashid Latif , Waqar and Saeed. Khair new stars will rise but atleast i m gonna miss them :(

Guys,
This is not the fault of the Pakistani Players and as such they should not be blamed.
I am sure that at a time like this the players will appreciate their loyal fan's support so that they can achieve better results in the next tournament.
Have a nice day
I decided not to watch in the end and went out for a cream tea, delightful weather here today, better luck next time Pakistan.
Waqar just gave a pretty dignified interview on tv accepting that Pakistan hadn’t played well enough. Considering that a couple of matches at least we didn’t really get the breaks which could have made all the difference I thought that was a good response.
Well done Waqar :k:
everyone resposible for Cricket in Pak should learn from the aussies .... they don't have more talent than pak or any other side (ok except England) but the maybe the worst management + captaincy and then all these politics in the teams ..... now the teams dismal performance as result is evident enough to open the eyes of those who were caught in the bubble of "we've probably the best bowling attack" and with putting some 250 on the board it should be enough to defend .....
times have changed .... not speed but acurracy is more threatening .... take a look at Kenya or Namibia or Holland all these teams bolwed good line and lenght to the major teams and the results speak for themselve ..... i mean they didn't win a match (except Kenya) but kept the scoring rate quite usual .....
I hope this lesson produces something u enjoy to watch .... Khuda karay aisa he ho. Ameen
Nice to see waqar admitting they deserved what they got, when asked will u be disscusing were u went wrong hes said "yes we'll probabaly will" there no probably about it.
They need to get the old dogs out, there is so much talent in pakistan. but they are not being given a chance.
yea i think Waqar is reading the writing on the wall, when Healy asked him if Wasim and Rashid will ever be seen playing cricket?? he just said 'well we just finished and we will sit together and decide who wants to play who doesnt'

Kenya has 6 points going into the super sixes!!!
they shouldhope one of their matches raines out! then they're alsmot certain of the semi-finals!!!!!
[/QUOTE]
I think Kenya has 10 points since Newzealand didnt' play their game in Nairobi and Kenya also won against Sri Lanka. I think they will qualify for the Semi-Final by just winning against Zimbabwe.
I really feel sorry for South Africans who are denied World Cup second time due to rain.
Pakistanis will be taking a sigh of relief that it rained and they can blame it all on the rain. :D I hope they make some better changes next time and start preparation for the next world cup soon.
