**Pakistan started the day in command, and one thought the game would be over by lunch. It certainly looks that way now, but with Sri Lanka as the winning team. Yousuf was done in by an excellent arm ball, but his partner Butt started the slide, playing a needless heave that cost him his wicket. Malik was out to a beauty, but Akmal, one of the senior members of this side, played a shot that wasn't on and was caught plumb. Misbah's ill-judged attempt at a single resulted in his downfall, and all of a sudden Pakistan are staring down the barrel.
**Add to that his brilliant performance in the first innings and his flawless fielding and you wonder why he is not a legend already.
Pa ehsan, he is responsible for his downfall not the entire team. Yes, he didn't play to his potential but you can't blame one person for losing 7 wickets for 46 runs.

What's wrong if he opens for the test!!! is there any restriction from the ICC for a keeper to open the batting???
If not, then he can open, he can play his natural game and add some 40 odd runs, help building partnerships.... is that wrong, as u seems to know lot more about it..

My frnd after keeping for 90 overs u cant bat rite away :) u need some rest, there is no restriction from ICC.
Now when u say 40 odd runs, i think Akmal is more capable player. I think he is more variety of shots than any other paki batsman in the team rite now. I love watching him play and it wud be nice if he opens in all formats of game however he has to take his gloves off before he can open in test.
Exactly that is the beauty of this team, when you dont expect them to do anything they win the world cup, only they can snatch victory from the jaws of defeat and defeat from the jaws of victory. :D

Srilanka honored us by visiting Pakistan when everyone rejected us, They were shot in Pakistan but they didnt bycott Pakistan (other countries whined more abt the issue than Srinalnkanz). We beat them in worldcup final .... Now the least we could do is give them a test as gift :).
I rather think they shld do the same for whole test series :)..... And then just make it even by knocking india out next time we see em :)
There was a reason why Afridi used to be get flak when he was being used as opener. When a wicket falls, it creates pressure on the next batsman, we were already 3 down, after Butts departure we were 4 down.
I am sure the team is adjusting to "real" cricket after having played T-20 and these are just teething troubles :)

Weather just helped them become World Champions in West Indies, so they are on a high, don't worry.
Indian team is doing well in longer version last six one day series they have won all over the world.. I guess In austarlai Srilanak everywhere it was weather which helped them win 6 back to back one day series..
Ask yourself honestly just two match semi final and final pakistan wopn before everytime they were tested against top tema them came cropper.. And suddenly pakistan thought it’s new dawn..
For instance if India had to win 20/20 world chamiponship it must have won at least five game against top teams y by contrast pakistan’s grouping was that that somehow they had to end up infinal on back of one game against a quality side NZ..
so total three games and world champion.. this is what happens you get grounded pretty fast..
