what a nightmare test match, featuring all the highlights of pakistan test cricket: dropped catches, poor wicket keeping, sloppy fielding and last but not least the batting collapse. All that's missing from this picture is Sami.

The brittleness of our batting has been brutally exposed by South African bowlers. In the recently concluded tulla (Twenty-20) cricket, we were still able to compete with top sides despite our top order failing again and again but this is real (test) cricket where such poor starts rarely go unpunished. Although we are only two days into a new test series, it's clear as hell that we need both Yousuf and Inzi back. You just can't go into a test with only one (Younis) proven test batsman.

It looks as though we would lose this test which is just not what you want in a short 2-test series

They should have Asim Kamal in place of Faisal. For some reason they are always shy of taking the right decision.

The pitch has unpredictable bounce and this was bound to happen. Younis and Faisal were outdone by the bounce.
