Pakistan Vs Namibia

Sadly, Elahi is the only decent opening option we have. Him and Saeed Anwar seemed to be the best opening pair for Pakistan. Taufeeq is not ODI material and Afridi, although I believe he should be in the ODI team for Pakistan, should not open agianst quality bowling attacks. Saleem Elahi, although he struggles, but manages to stay at the wicket for quiet a but of time.

atleast he did gr8r than other EXPERIENCE batsmen

Well you have to consider he came back after such a long period of time. And also, for the time Saeed was at the crease...he most certainly looked in much better form and looked more comfortable out there than Saleem Elahi. And also, Burger took an awesome catch to get him out, while Elahi was dropped once.

Saeed Anwar actaully looked good. I think its just a matter of spending a little more time out in the middle and he should be back. He got out to delivery that was slower then he expected and he just launched himslef to it and went along with the shot. The ball came much later then he expected and it hit his bat when he was well into that shot. More time in the middle will give him a better idea of the pace and improve his judgement.

On a seperate note.. nice change of avtar yaasir.

Thanks Lahori Munda :)

Agree about Saeed. he looked quite fluent out there. It was a surprise when he got out. If he can get a decent knock under his belt it will be like getting a new player. We are badly short of match-winning batsmen at the moment or at least match-winninmg batsmen who are in form.

u right saeed kame after a long break but wat bout my unkle inzi(i try to not to blame him much az i kan) but wat he did 4 eht team n far az goez of droppin katch it waz hiz luck n in cricket luck iz one of eht most important thing

I hereby announce that Pakistan will not make to the semifinals. Note this down.

Inzi, Saeed and Yoyo look very very vulnerable. This ain't Pakistan's World Cup folks.

What happpen to pakistan against such a team
hope that they will do good in bowling!

Lets hopefor the best its just incredible that our opening batsmen are short of confidence than ppl like latif and waseem.
Inzi is a waste of time and money. Let's see how the fielding and the bowling will be performed.
I dont consider 250+ a huge score therefore we are still not in safe hands.

It's a pity really because Pakistan had been "planning" for this cup for the last 4 years or something. It's also our last real chance for the forseeable future 'cause then some very important players will leave.

Our bowling is top notch but the batsmen are undoing all their good work. Maybe the bowling can get these guys for 50 odd and salvage some pride.

Namibia 1/1

Akram strikes.
Caught behind.
