Pakistan Vs Namibia

Pakistan have a important game coming up. After losing so poorly this has to be a convincing win for the team if we are to go further into the tournament.

i think its important for us to bat first if we win the toss and we should make our batsmen go out and spend some time in the middle and hopefully find some form.i think we should play the following team

saeed anwar
salim elahi
younis khan
inzamam ul haq
yousef youhana
abdur razzaq
rashid latif
wasim akram
saqlain mushtaq
waqar younis
mohammad sami

i think we should rest shoaib akhter for this match and have him firing for the next game vs england. sami should play so he can get some bowling just in case we need him later on.

saeed anwar will inshallah be back at the number one position and i cant wait to see him back in pakistan colors. inshallah he will be able to spend a good time in the middle and find some form for the rest of the tournament.

salim elahi is average but he`s better than afridi and taufeeq umer who is still inexperienced. saeed, inzy and yousef have to bear the brunt of the responsibnility with batting and younis khan must show more guts and bat at 3.

pakistan has to win by a big margin to get their confidence and their bet run rate up.

inshallah we will have a good game. PAKISTAN ZINDABAD.

Here is the team I wud like to see for the match against Nambia:

Saeed Anwar
Saleem Elahi
Yousef Youhana
Inzamam-Ul-Haq
Younis Khan
Shahid Afridi
Abdul Razzaq
Rashid Latif
Wasim Akram
Saqlain Mushtaq
Waqar Younis

Shoaib Akhtar should be rested for this match.

Elahi has some fundamental problems namely shuffling and playing cross-batted strokes however i think the south african pitches due to their extra bounce allow him to play such shots. Also I think Azhar Mahmood should be given a chance in place of razaq just to see if he has improved a notch by playing for surrey.
Meanwhile problems with playing inzimam at number 3-4 continue to haunt pakistan, so it wouldnt be a bad idea to send him late, like no. 6-7. I guess this would allow the openers and younis khan in paticular to play their shots freely knowing that they could count on inzimam if something goes wrong. What do you guys think??

Sending Inzamam in at 6-7 wud be a bad idea. He takes a lot of time to settle in...we have to send him in at number 3-4. I think youhana is the best option for the no.3 slot. And about Azhar...Im not sure...I think Razzaq should be given another chance. It just wasnt Pakistan's day against tne Aussies. The only chance I wud make is opening with Saleem Elahi rather than Taufeeq. Taufeeq is not ODI material. He was in a rush against the Aussies and was playing bad shots. Saleem looked pretty confident and played some good shots, so he shud be given a chance to open.

I think the middle order should stay the same. If all else fails.. put Azhar or Razzaq to open with Elahi, and keep one in the lower order. Taufeeq played horrible shots on Tuesday. Mis timing shots, ball going in opposite directions. He is entitled for test matches only.

Common Pakistan
We can win this match
shoaib shud b given some rest and muhammed sami shud b brought in
hez a good young pace bowler

Lets hope pakistan to do its best:k:
:jhanda:

I think we should bat second against Naimbia. It is known that Pakistan love to bat first, as that is the only way they ever win convincingly. However, they need to get into the habit of batting second in order to get accustomed to the mental strain of it all. There is no point batting first against the likes of Namibia and England, so when it come to India or Holland, and they have to chase they lose their nerve, play rash shots, give their wickets away and come home in an embarrasing fashion. I think it is good we batted second against Austrailia, as we saw the reality of the situation... Waqar batted second thinking we would have the Aussies out for 220 -240 and chase that. However, none of the batsmen could hold their nerves.....

Its a shame we struggle so much to keep a consistent no 3. I don' know why nobody likes batting their. Inzy and Youhana hate that position for some reason...

Kher, lets see what happens on Sunday.

They should play with young team by resting Wasim and Shoaib Akhtar and brining in Sami, Saqlain or Azhar Mahmood. Afridi should be tried at no 5 or 6

Extra bounce allows him to plkay such shots??? come on bhai, its a known fact that predictable bounce allows cross batted swipes NOT extra bounce.

I think PAK should bat first and should score high like atleast 250 - 300 and then get Namibia all out under 100 to bump up the run rate avg. I am sure it will come handy at the end qualifying for super six.

lol brother i understand that we all are really upset after the loss again austrailia! however, saying that pak should atleast score 250 is a direct chamat/thapar on our own faces!

pak is not as bad as we all think. we beat zimb 5-0 and scored 300+ in each game and these zimb suckers scored 340 against namibia!

now how could you even think of something so low-graded. i mean wot provoked you to say that we should score "atleast" 250-300! loll

come onn i think if we dont score more than 325 then we suck real bad!

Yeah thats true, sorry I didn't realise, ok PAK should go for atleaste 350 or maybe break the world record which is I think 386 or something, not sure.

I say go with full force and knock the wind out of the Namibiiiiiii oh whatever the team is.

Doesn't matter who plays we'll murder them regardless. My vote goes to Afridi to open in this one and let's watch some fireworks. As the old saying goes, horses for courses...

my team

Saeed
Taufeeq
Afridi
Inzi
Youhana
Younus
Rashid, i like Kamaran Akmal better
Wasim
Waqar
Saqlain
Sami

vs Namibia,

1 Saeed
2 Afridi
3 Inzi
4 Yoyo
5 Yunis
6 Razzaq
7 Latif
8 Akram
9 Saqlain
10 Waqar
11 Shoaib

Fg's lineup is the most balanced that Pakistan can put out. There are, however, two problems.

One is Saeed cannot be expected to perform at the highest level is so short a prep time. The second problem is Afridi. To expect him to stay on the wicket more than 10 overs is being overly optimistic. Other than these two niggles, this lineup is reminiscent of the 99 Pak side's balance and ability.

Of course, Waqar will definitely not be going with this team. Instead Mr. Elahi will be in again and Saqi out much to chagrin of this fan.

lollllllll hahaha...its i think namibia or something not namibiiiiiiiiiiiiii lolzz

I think Afridi could do some damage against the weaker teams but I'd leave him out against any team with decent pace bowlers.

Sam, I'm pretty sure that Saqy will be brought back after the criticism Waqar copped after leaving him out. fg's team looks a pretty strong line up.

i say send wasim akram along with afridi!!

beat the F out of namibia .....sara ghusa utar doo!

score 400+ get them out for less than 50 lol...i say let shoaib play as well! let him do some of his miracles!

if vass can create history then why cant shoaib?
