Just came back from the match…what an absolute cracker of a match i had witnessed on the big screen :k:
Honestly for me too, no real regrets…the better team on the day won. I am happy for the fact that our batting finally clicked though i feel for poor Inzi…when he seemed so determined and aggressive (and may i suggest in good touch as well)…lady luck left him.
Tendulkar…the term ‘master blaster’ suits him right…what an absolute gem of an innings from him…all i could muster was an amazed “Haw!” look on my face while he was batting…made our bowling look so mediocre.
I am also happy for the changes that Waqar rung in today :k: i think he tried everything under the sun and usually at good times too…just that it din’t really work the way he wanted.
Hats off to a great show and congratulations to India :k: they sure did deserve to win.
well if waqar, wasim and shoaib dont qualify as genuine pace, i dont know who would.

waqar and wasim will be retiring very shortly and shoaib is very inconsistent..to be the best you have to beat the best..forget best pakistan cant even beat india :)
plz dont say it was a good game..if india had won in the last over then yeah but they had over 5 overs left...there was nothing special about the ending
The 2 catches that Sachin gave were very hard, the first one off Wasim was very high in the air, Razzaq couldn't have caught it.
2nd one was Afridi's, same goes for him, the catch was never there.
Dewana tera, if 3 teams in the pool are tied in the same point, and all 3 teams winning one against each the other, then it comes down to run rate.
If Pakistan beats Zimbabwe, then England, ZImbabwe and Pakistan all have 12 points. with Zimbabwe getting a win over Eng, Pak getting a win over Zim, and Eng getting a win over Pak, than it will alll come down to net rate.

well i'm sorry then, but i was fooled by comments on this forum before the match that pak had the best pace attack currently.
any chance of pakistan coming to next round? even though I think it will be easier for India to beat engaland or zimbabwe, playing with paksitan is more exciting.

Sheraz yaar, sometimes you've just got to give the opposition some credit. If Sachin gets in then there's really not many bowling attacks that can stop him. Even against Wasim and Waqar at their peak he posted some pretty useful scores.
Pakistan lost today But they can take heart from the fact that thier batting dont suck at all. They can still bat well. The sad part about pak's cricket right now is that they are not playing good All round cricket. One day they bowl well but bat miserably(Against England), other day they bat well and bowl miserably( against India).
I really am all praises for Saeed, he played a true Saeed-Anwar-ish inning after a long long time. Only blemish he had today was running out inzimam. It was inzimams call and saeed reponded but went back.
Pakistans'bowling well, they just got rattled after TEndulkar's onslaught. HE played a true great inning. Had he gone out earlier, i m sure pakistan would have been more motivated but he hung on in his difficult injury times.
Better team won today. And i know its a miracle situation now.
Excellent game of cricket. I enjoyed watching Saeed Anwar and Tendulkar.
Inzi looked energetic for a change..too bad he wasn’t there for long..I guess Dean Jones did make his mark in the commentary the other day bytching about Inzi and his lack of urgency. I just hope Inzi-mr-outta-form does well against Zimbabwe and retires with all the glory that he deserves.
Tendulkar the little master made some childish comments at the end by stating that India has beaten Pak for the forth time..not an impressive comment..I think the world knows that already but oh well! cricket never promised maturity and class…Amir Sohail was being an idiot about India through out...showing off about "bravery" of Pakistanies and all….he should be sitting & shouting with chacha cricket in the stands..
It was funny when Raja asked Manjrekar about his comfort level when there were 70 odd runs to score of 16 overs...and Manjrekar sounded unsure :-o... a tribute to what Pakistan has done India in the past.
Pakistan's cricket has seen its peak...I foresee a downfall just like what happened to WestIndies after Sir V. Richards, Marshal, Holding, Garner etc retired. I hope its not the case though...
ciao
BoSS
I still don't understand why they play this @#@ Afridi. I don't want his 20 runs of 5 balls and couple of wickets..but who am I :-D
Our world class bowling was blown into pieces, way to go Sachin :k: great knock. Thanks to high - non moving - away from batsman bowl by Shoaib … you go boy, you go, out please. He definitely provided solid confidence to the opening pair. I rarely saw a yorker from any one of our “Pace” battery.
Bad luck Inzi, but again it was his mistake. If one player is killing the attack why do you have to “I wanna play, I wanna play”… he should have supported Saeed and blast when get a chance booooooooo
Well played India and Sachin. Saeed Anwar played very well.
Again taking the gamble of palying the tulley baaz fired back badly and Shoaib has proved one thing in this tournament that his mouth is louder and faster then his deliveries. He should be dropped for the next match against Zimbabwe.
For once i noted Waqar was trying to use his head and ut a lot of thought in his field placings thats how he got Rid of Sehwag and then removed ganguly with a beauty but the inspiration was short-lived and Tenedulkar made shoaib pay for his wayward bowling.
Shoaib should really be told to keep his mouth closed. He's a great bowler but immaturity does not help when the other team has a better day. He can learn from Akram who despite his success never talks trash.

this is true. when the english bowler Andy shot his mouth of and said something about Sachin, Sachin destroyed him. there were press reports about how Andy had managed to make this peaceful great man angry and suffered the punishment meted out.
while I can fully understand Tendulkar demolishing the opening attack, I am still stunned that Sehwag could also!
