Oh yaar dont be too critical we are going to whip them Inshallah. Every one chokes from time to time even the Aussies have choked who I always said are not good enough for 20/20.
Sir I was n't being critical just trying to look at things objectively. I thought our bowlers did a terrific job in that game in retricting India but the batsmen bottled it. I thought we had won the game when I got home from work only to find that it was a tie and there was going to be a bowl out. :)
Let's hope that we give a really clinical performance on Monday and win inshallah.
need a couple of our batsmen to fire. india has one of the weakest bowling attacks in the tournament. even england got nearly 200 against them so our batsmen have a good chance. the likes of nazir, hafeez, afridi and malik can kill weak bowlers. even younas khan has a great record against india. hopefully couple of these guys will be able to fire which will put pak in strong position.
Don't quite agree. Its not exactly news that bowling is not India's strong point. But in Twenty20s, sustained good bowling is not expected. You just have to hope get some decents overs in. That India has done nicely. Plus RPS in the last game and Sreesanth today bowled with fair degree of venom.
btw, it will be the same bowling that made it difficult for Pak to chase down 140 in the earlier match. (and you may not have the generous Agarkar this time around).

i am talking about a bowling unit and not one or two bowlers. obviously most test teams will have a couple of good bowlers which india clearly does. however india's support bowlers are not much of a threat in the manner pakistani bowlers are. plus pak has many back up options such as hafeez and the captain both of whom did not bowl today. as for pak failing against india, that can happen to good teams that chase example being s.a. against india or india against n.z. plus pak battling line is much better now without butt. pak can aord to take it easy against rps or sreesanth. however they wont. pak batsmen back themselves against indian fast bowlers.
I think India are quite dodgy and Insha-Allah we will beat them.
Our bowling attack is terrific, while they seem to have a massive problem with the 5th bowler.
However I think it's important that we bat first and set an imposing total. And playing at the Wanderers with the Indian bowling I think a 200+ score is achievable.
I hope our openers give us a good start like they did today.
A good bowler is a good bowler in ANY format. Period.
CORRECT. But, A good bowler is of not the same importance in EVERY format. In Twenty20, the batsmen have the license-2-kill because they just have to bat out 20 overs...so good bowler or bad bowler, they will slog.
If it was not so, why are so many ex-players complaining about the one-dimensional nature of Twenty20 which is totally biased in favor of batsmen.
To summarize, good bowling is of "limited importance" in Twenty20.
Ans like I said above, Tullaybaazi is what counts.
And yes....PERIOD.

I still disagree.
Bowlers have changed far more matches in this 20/20 than batsmen.
Unless Joginder Singh promises Dhoni that he is going to use his brain while bowling in the final, India should have Piyush Chawla in for Joginder Singh.

If we havenot played Piyush against AUS and SA then We will not bring Piyush in this game for sure. I think choice is between Joginder and Agarkar.I will go for Agarkar. NO PERIOD Here
