I really hope that they dont drop Rana. Agreed that his test match statistics are not upto the mark but he brings to the team what Razzaq cannot and Razzaq's batting is surplus to the requirements for now so head-to-head bowling records and form should matter.

i think this would b up there with all time blunders! if they drop rana, playing a gentle medium pacer who has no swing in his bowling n e more on these dead pitches, and if ti is supposedly a green top why not have a swing bowler like rana!

Kuch bee Pak team bana dho, I don't care as long as India win...I want to see Sehwag Tendulkar and Dhoni all get a great score at a fast clip with Dravid and Laxman playing anchors. And one more thing - for once I'd like to see Indian bowlers contain and get on top of Inzy, Afridi and others who don't seem to have any respect for our mediocre bowling.

Razzak & Rana are of the same chip of the block onlt the later has more agression and hunger, while Razak is quite and Shy bat blaster with a reasonably good high arm swinging baal. It don't matter to the game who plays.

Im sure Rana won't be dropped and neither will be Sami. The only case Sami will be dropped is if he actually has high fever and sour throat but im sure Inzi and Woolmer will make every effort possible to make Sami fit in time for the 2nd test match. I hope for the sake of the Pakistani team, Sami remains sick for a little while more so Asif can get his chance...he won't do any worse than Sami!

Looks Like I wont be able to partake in todays game again, The flu has come back at me a second time and that too with a vengance, right now I am Tucked in my Razai, with a area heater at my feet, and suffocating on Theraflu (Allah Dushman ko bhi na pilaye).
Coming to the topic if India is on top I am sure my Indian compatriots will not make you folks feel my absence, and if Pakistan happens to be on top, well I will be warmly tucked and dreaming of a comeback.

For one reason, if we do get both replacements in the bowling department (still hoping for just one), I would like to bowl first on this pitch, so that there is plenty of opportunities in the third innings for the bowlers to prove themselves, which, in turn, will force the selectors to take a harder look at them for the decisive test.
