Re: Pakistan vs India- 27th February 2016- Asia Cup
My analysis on this match:
A) It looks like Pakistan had not much clue of the wicket. That was a downside of playing the first match against a team who already has played one game and is having a good practice. So a little unlucky here. But its not an excuse of not reading the pitch and get the batsmen ready for that.
B) The toss was very important to lose. I’m sure had Pakistani bowlers bowled first the indians could be summed up for 120 or less. So indians ended up being lucky.
C) Pakistani batsmen had absolutely no clue on how to play on that bouncy pitch. The time when they had to be at backfoot they were trying all the time to come on front and hence paying the price.
D) Shoaib Malik once again proved that he is a complete liability. One thing we must write down somewhere: Its a sin to expect him to score on bouncy pitches. Give him a dead or complete batting wicket and he’ll do better.
Actually in this match he damaged Pakistan in two ways, one throwin his own wicket and second by getting Khurram Manzoor out.
Now can we move forward and force him retirement?
E) Pakistanis better do a proper homework on each and every player of their opponent. And thats the job of coaches. For example, Afridi should know that Jadeja is the best fielder India has got and while the ball reaches in his hand there is no question of getting a risky 2nd run.
F) All the batsmen should be give only two matches to show some performance or else dropped immediately.
But here is the catch 22 here: Next matches are against UAE and BD so pathetic players like malik or hafeez would score big time against two feeble teams and reserve their spots.
I think Pakistan could hv done much better but a little unlucky and more irresponsibility lead to the batting disaster. But we do need to make tough choices and force the senior players to either leave or perform. No other choice!

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh SID…i used to do such analysis as well long time ago. right @ehsan bhai ?.. you shd remember that. back in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006…
and then one day, i suddenly found out, that you dont analyze pakistani cricket. you just remain a blind follower or just stop following pak cricket and watch games here and there . i took the second option…yeah i am a bhagora fan!

Kohli scored 49 out of 85, when he was plumb LBW earlier on but not given. if the umpire had given him out at that time your batting line up would have folded for less than 50. The batting line up from mars was brought down to earth with a bump, you an make any excuse but look at the fear in the eyes of your batsmen when the name Amir is mentioned.
Re: Pakistan vs India- 27th February 2016- Asia Cup
Kohli was brought in to fill the void created by likes of Sachin, Laxman, Sehwag - this sums up his class and calibre. Pakistan’s bits and pieces and below average players cannot become Kohli just by observing him, it takes a whole different level of natural talent and skills to emulate him.
At the end of the day - the fault lies in Pakistanis for over hyping contest with India and treating it as a war which puts so much pressure on your inadequately skilled players whereas Indian team sees Pakistan as a just another professional opponents. Hence they seemingly don’t get carried away with emotions and put any unnecessary pressure on themselves.
Re: Pakistan vs India- 27th February 2016- Asia Cup
I really don’t understand why people are belittling Indian batting - seriously, aren’t you proving the point that Indian batting is so good that it takes a brilliant and rare talent like Amir to disturb them, and what was Pakistani batters’ excuse for not even making 100 and finishing their 20 overs?
Even someone as arrogant and rude as Kohli had to give Amir credit. But let’s not use Amir’s performance to bail out rest of the team or belittle Indian batting line which collectively gets the job done more often than not (not that their batters just don’t get out at all when faced with good bowling).
It’s pure arrogance on Pakistani fans part to think likes of Kohli, Yuvraaj, Dohni would have proved to be walking wickets against the mighty total of 85. Seriously!
Re: Pakistan vs India- 27th February 2016- Asia Cup
Pakistan have wasted great deal of talent, Abdul Razzaq, Hammad Azam, Babar many more to be lost, and cause is, Afridi, Hafeez, Shoaib, Akmals…kind of players…
Show them the door for good…if Pakistani team can survive with Wasim Waqar’s pace and with no Inzi and Miandad…then certainly it can do lot better theb these over hyped below average players…and their stats proves them to pathetic but also parchiyaan
Re: Pakistan vs India- 27th February 2016- Asia Cup
Not to forget PSL’s finding Nawaz, who is a true replacement of Afridi and was only warming the bench during this game. Ofcourse had he played and scored would have secured a place and Afridi’s spot would be in peril.
Players like Afridi, Malik and hafeez are there becuz their lobbies work hard for them otherwise they’d long gone.
Re: Pakistan vs India- 27th February 2016- Asia Cup
Bhaio. Is afridi ne Asia cup main india ke khilaf jitwaya tha. Consider him a bowler who can bat once a while. Our management need to consider him according.
Re: Pakistan vs India- 27th February 2016- Asia Cup
The match was always between Pakistan bowling and Indian batting. The fact that our pathetic batting line up together with our pathetic captain failed altogether and never gave any chance to our bowlers to defend the total is not the fault of our bowlers. They performed brilliantly. To say that one should not criticize Indian batting because the score was low, I mean really !!!
The fact that our bowlers had them gasping for air even with such a low score is a tribute to our bowlers. Even Dhoni admitted another 20 /30 runs and it would have been a different story. But than those who are over awed by Indian batsmen cant understand such things.
