I watched the highlights of the match and I msut say that, strokes of ,Dravid ,Inzi and Youhana were a treat to watch, though there a few strokes being played by many players, but those square drives, cuts and lon off/on sixes were the gems of the whole match.
Only one delivery which bowled Sehwag was worth enough mentioning...
Lets head towards the second ODI..
OMG, i know i m late but what a match it was!
This is the first time in my life that i m not feeling "this is the end of world" after losing to India. Both teams played good cricket other than the pethatic bowling performance of Pakistan.
I dont mind Pakistani bowlers get trashed by Indians but extras are just unacceptable (and that too in 40s).
I watched the whole game in and Indian Community Center. We were about 12-15 Pakistanis and around 275 to 300 Indians. It was getting dirty initially. As were supported Pakistan and started the "Narey Bazi", around 40-50 Indian youth encircled us and started shouting, then only difference was in the phrase that we were shouting. "Pakistan Zindabad" and they "Bharat Mata Zindabaad, Pakistan MURDA BAAD" and "Pakistan @#$#@$%#$%$#^%". Ofcourse were were afraid of replying back with the Murdabad phrase!
After some time some of the Indian senior people interrupted and asked their youth not to use negative slogans for Pakistan. It went on for a while but ultimately it stopped and Indians started supporting their team and not disrespecting ours.
At the end of Indian batting about 50% of the indians left saying that "aab kia faida match daikhney ka, 200 runs say haraeey ga India, aab tu koi Match HEE nahi hai".
We stayed and saw the great finish with around 150 Indians (most of them were families and all the NAREY BAAZ were gone). One good thing that happened at the end of the game as we were leaving, 7/8 Indians came to us (running) , they came, hath milaya, peeth per thapkee dee and said "WELL PLAYED Pakistan and we are sorry for what Indian Youth did with you guys in early stages of the game, and do come on next games".
