Re: Pakistan vs England, 3rd Test, Wed Aug 18 - Sun Aug 22

Congratulations to Pakistan!! I really enjoyed this test match.

I have not followed this thread all the way but .. please don't overcredit Yusuf for mentoring the young guys into winning this. Bowlers deserve most of the credit. They performed really well yet again! Amir is a gem!

Batting still needs improvement. Both wins this season have come batting 4th.. 1st time they were 180ish for 7.. this was 150ish for 6.. thats way too many wickets down chasing a SMALL total.

Bring on the 4th test. England must be nervous now!

Re: Pakistan vs England, 3rd Test, Wed Aug 18 - Sun Aug 22

It was definitely Yousuf’s fault, I just saw highlights. Azhar had stopped and wanted to go back but he saw Yousuf continuing on without looking where the ball is.

Sorry I just had to reply :chai:

Re: Pakistan vs England, 3rd Test, Wed Aug 18 - Sun Aug 22

Will u guys stop blaming …at the end it didnt cost us …so end of story

Re: Pakistan vs England, 3rd Test, Wed Aug 18 - Sun Aug 22

Its not about ‘blaming’, its about facts :chai:

Re: Pakistan vs England, 3rd Test, Wed Aug 18 - Sun Aug 22

The fact is that Yousuf played really well .......but the delivery from anderson was a beauty

Re: Pakistan vs England, 3rd Test, Wed Aug 18 - Sun Aug 22

^Was a good delivery, but Yousuf played inside the line of ball, had he just played inline, he would have made contact and it would have been an outside edge.

BTW waleed dear, ap GS key elava bhi koi kam kertey hai

Re: Pakistan vs England, 3rd Test, Wed Aug 18 - Sun Aug 22

Alhamdulilah !!!!

Ramadan prayers worked !!

Re: Pakistan vs England, 3rd Test, Wed Aug 18 - Sun Aug 22

Have to give Yousef credit though...he did tough it up and he played well -- much better than that loser Malik who was a pathetic choice to begin with. Fiine Yousef didnt finish the job again and got involved in another run out but still he did well considering he was making another comeback!

In the end, Umar Akmal did a good job with Amir to see us through.....if Pakistan win the next game that would be a just reward to the brilliant work our bowlers have done for us all summer.

Re: Pakistan vs England, 3rd Test, Wed Aug 18 - Sun Aug 22

I was in favour of cash prizes after the Leeds victory against the Aussies as it came after 15 long years, but not this time around. This is most definitely overdoing it and spoiling the players…

Re: Pakistan vs England, 3rd Test, Wed Aug 18 - Sun Aug 22

maybe, but if you had looked closely Azhar stopped but as soon as Cook misfielded he started running. Probably both were at fault.

Sorry had to reply. :khumar:

Re: Pakistan vs England, 3rd Test, Wed Aug 18 - Sun Aug 22

That shows clearly that Yousuf was unable to judge the situation (being “senior”) and kept running, as is his history (involved in highest number of run-outs).

Re: Pakistan vs England, 3rd Test, Wed Aug 18 - Sun Aug 22

read Sunday Times today and you will see who was at fault. :D

Re: Pakistan vs England, 3rd Test, Wed Aug 18 - Sun Aug 22

yep...Yousuf still hasn't learnt how to call...but still things happen under pressure...
and pressue is a reality that pakistan cricket team has always been known to take...remember the old panicstan term used in and around the 92 world cup days?....
that was a totally different line up but still same characteristics on the field...even though we had legends of cricket in the team...
also they showed many replays where the great Miandad would have been run out had there been a third umpire and video replays...many of those were match saving innings...
