Umar Akmal should probably be booted out too, and Fawad Alam given a chance. Fawad has good temperament and has a never-give-up attitude.
Injured Umar Gul will likely be replaced by Wahab Riaz.
Kamran Akmal should permanently stay out, but with PCB you can never tell. I don’t know what kind of “extra-curricular” services Kamran provides to each captain that they find it hard to let him go.

Bari Jaldi hai thread kholnay ki. Mere bhai, pehley upni squad ke members ko to jaan lo. No Fawad Alam there. Actually Farhat should get the boot instead of Umar Amin. Malik for sure should be out. I think they should play Tanvir Ahmed, not Wahab Riaz. Wahab will go for plenty of runs. I think they should recall Yasir Arafat for injured Gul and play him at No. 7. That will not happen though. **They need a fifth bowler so so bad who can bat **in a test match, with Gul gone now that need is gonna be immediate.

Farhat, for the first time in his career is playing with some semblance of responsibility so he gets my vote. I don't know how he got out in the 2nd Test, but the he played the best innings of his career against Australia, so I am hoping he's carrying on in the same vein.

I agree, Imran Farhat seems to be getting a hang of it, the bowl he got out on 2nd innings was just too good.
Anyway, I am hoping that they sit out Malik and Umar (both Akmal and Amin) and instead play Yasir Hameed, Yousuf and Fawad Alam.

Whoever replaces Gul won't be as lethal as him so we'll really miss a genuine 3rd fastie.

Wahab Riaz is quick...around the 90 km mark...he should be tried in place of Gul...although ideally Pakistan should have taken Shoaib Akhter. His pace and aggression would have been useful.

I think...the chance should be given to people who have some successful experience on green pitches + 5-day match stamina...and the captain should opt for fielding when the opportunity is there...
PS: Accuracy (good line & length...on the target:the gate...the bowlers should opt for LBWs as the filders are not reliable for catches) in bowling is more important than speed...hmmmmmmmmmm

I'd play tanveer guy over Wahab, as I by playing wahab, eng might get used to of playing medium pacer from over the wicket, which might make amir's left arm bowler angle less of surprise to them.

^ Even Moyo and Inzi used to run away from 3rd and 4th spot and you want Umar Akmal to occupy that spot The only thing Umar Akmal needs is to occupy crease and have some focus on the game, when he can do that then he can be moved up the order. Inzi already pointed that out that ‘experienced’ batsmen should’ve been sent 1 down and 2 down positions instead of sending debutants/rookies. But then we are talking about bunch of butts at the helm
