Pakistan Vs. England 1st ODI

Let the triumph begin on 10th of December.

Pakistan will definitely miss Afridi, but good news is that Razzaq will be back. Shoaib will be at his fiery best. Pakistan can give chance to Kaneria now for sure.

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 1st ODI

^ Matches start at 6am GMT (1 am NY time). Salman jee tusi tay sootay howey gey. :)

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 1st ODI

its good that pak/eng matches will start at 11:00AM PST cuz if match start at 01:00PM PST the dew factor will come into play in the eveinig and side batting second will gain advantage...

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 1st ODI

All three ODIs are Day-Night Matches, so toss will play a big role. Win toss, bat first, no?

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 1st ODI

^^no not all i would say. bcz matches are going to start at 11am Pak time which means matches will be finished likely b4 6pm. so early finish means that there won't be any adavantages for batting or bowling 1st.:D 1more thing it's not 3ODI's but 5 :P

Strauss returns for one-dayers
Cricinfo staff
December 5, 2005

England have been boosted with the news that their opening batsman, Andrew Strauss, will join the squad for the one-day series against Pakistan. Strauss, who had returned home to attend the birth of his first child before the third and final Test at Lahore, will arrive on Tuesday.

“Strauss had a boy on Sunday night and is returning for one-dayers on Tuesday,” Marcus Trescothick told reporters ahead of the five-match series which starts at Lahore on December 10.

England are still unsure whether Michael Vaughan would return in time for the one-dayers. He [returned home on Sunday to seek medical advice](http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/pakveng/content/story/228391.html) on his injured right knee.

“I am not going to think about being captain over the next couple of days. If we hear the bad news [about Vaughan], then obviously we can look at it and make plans.”

Ashley Giles will also miss the one-day series due to a hip injury; batsman Vikram Solanki, all-rounder Ian Blackwell and paceman Kabir Ali have joined the squad as cover, while Ian Bell is on standby if Vaughan is unable to play. England take on a Pakistan Cricket Board Patron’s XI in a warm-up match on Wednesday, and despite losing the Test series, Trescothick is buoyant about England’s chances in the one-day matches:

“It was disappointing (to lose the series), but we can pick ourselves up very quickly and make sure that we play well. We have got a warm-up match coming up to get prepared,” he said. "We always look to win one-day competitions. We are now nearly 18 months away from the World Cup. The base of our team is pretty much together, but obviously a bit incomplete through injuries this time.

“They are a good side and got a lot of experience. Obviously playing at home they are a great side and it is going to be a tough challenge to beat them.”

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 1st ODI

^ Kameena Strauss  meri fantasy team ka satya naas karwa ke chala gaya, ab phir wapis aa gaya … I’m not selecting him anymore and for some reason I have a feeling that he will be one of top scorers for England :frowning:

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 1st ODI

^^ nice advice, :hehe: I will pick 'em for my ODI fantasy team :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 1st ODI

just goes on to show k becharoun par kitna bura waqt para hai…

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 1st ODI

And its not like I have 9-5 Job that I would be worried about :).

Re: Pakistan Vs. England 1st ODI

I agree, man, I changed Tresco for him and look what he does. Scores nothing in four innings and then leaves in the third game. :crying:

PS: Who will pick Bell?
