#3 is true (I should have said on or within leg stump if you are bowling around the wicket). I have seen many times, batsmen deliberately padding up to balls pitched outside leg stump line when spinners are bowling around the wicket. You cannot be given out LBW (from around the wicket) even if you are playing no shot if the ball pitches outside line of leg stump
