oh well, Watson was preserved with for 7 years continuously before he started to pay them back! wish our openers had that luxury... :)

Not really. Watson made his Test debut in January 2005, in the same match as Mohammad Asif. During this time, Watson hasn't been a regular member of Australia's Test squad.

In tests its only last month when he scored some decent runs and he wasn't part of the squad consistently.

Ian chappell is praising pakistani opening pair saying they are doing most things right this morning and last night too.
In tests its only last month when he scored some decent runs and he wasn't part of the squad consistently. For ODIs, he wasn't part of the squad always though he got some matches consistently every year.
